Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 teaser trailer is here, Evil Has Returned! So obviously there had to be a teaser trailer and behind the scenes reaction to it, but as this is the start of the marketing ramping up, something else. It seemed like the perfect opportunity for a stroll down memory lane about what we learnt from the first series marketing. How now we know that much of the fan comments, were bizarrely accurate with details they couldn't even know. As well as the obvious cringe. This video is a bit of the greatest hits Rings of Power story because it's quite frankly, more interesting and funny than the teaser trailer was. I get the feeling the most entertaining part of Rings of Power season 2, just like the first, wont be the season itself. It'll be the commentary and marketing responses around it. They're already setting up the narrative in the behind the scenes video, it'll be interesting to see what they have planned. The thing we loved is dead, an imposter sits on the throne.

Every time I see George say, "How could you come to hate something that you're supposed to love?" I want to ask him how that Winds of Winter book is coming.

The more they change and inject their foul selves into things that have been loved, LITERALLY by generations, tell me it's not for me, or tell me I'm evil for being normal, I'm going to reject them and their work. Period. They are abusing IPs that were great the way they were. That fact is why it is an established franchise. I will never understand why they have been given an opportunity to infect these franchises with their vile divisive propaganda to begin with.

I still can't get over that 'if Sauron is hot, I can fix him' line. That's like saying 'if Satan is hot, I can fix him'-- or in more relatable terms to such a mindset, I guess, 'If only I were Mustache Man's boyfriend instead of Eva Braun, all that WWII nonsense could've been averted 😘'.

that style of sword guard pose isn't meant to be used on such a small blade, they're meant to be longer - it's actually a type of Katana sword form and relies on the length of the blade to work properly as it acts as both parry and slashing depending on the use. Someone on staff saw the FFVII rebirth game and was into the Sephiroth stance and thought Gaylaydrial would be cool looking like that.

Superfans s1 from Spain hurt the most because a couple of them were content creators I'd follow for years(even have their signatures) and they sold out completely. They made their careers with "edgy" avant-garde humor and calling out mediocrity in movies, shows etc. Evil corrupts, it can't create.

Many years ago, I ran a middle=earth rpg set in the east. I named it the Untold Trilogy One of my players wanted to be a wizard and so played as the blue wizard Pallando. Along with a human knight, a wood elf ranger, a werebear rogue, and two dwarven brothers who occasionally fought inbetween drinking homemade dwarven ale. The campaign had the Easterlings as the main protagonists, the evil faction led by Alatar (the other blue wizard), who had been corrupted by the influence of Morgoths spirit. Alatar rode on a blue crystal dragon and had two balrog bodyguards. The party aided in the Easterlings civil war, and eventually succeed. Through many adventures the party travelled through enchanted forests filled with kaukareldar (evil fey), the keep of the frozen barrow king. The underneath, deep below the earth where the city of deep towers lay, ruled by the Nauglath (evil deep dwarfs), who tended the vats of Umalar (where Morgath created monsters). Through the swamps of cragmire barrow filled with mirelurk spiders, huge fell beasts, crebain and the great hag with her oloh-hai (trolls). The party learned how to free the good easterling from Morgoths influence and how to fight for their freedom. One of the most profound moments was when the players sought refuge in the elven city of Ithil-Rana (moon spirit) and found it empty and ransacked, only to learn that Morgoth had turned every man, woman and child into orcs for Saurons army. Also, here were the calcified forms of treants, one of the last known refuge for the entwives, as Pallando summarised. In the penultimate final battle on the Steppes of Hithlum, below Mount Kratos, the fifty thousand strong easterling army and their oliphaunts, along with wainriders, fought against the now free easterlings, and their grizzly bear mounts. The party, along with the stone giants of Kratos, fought Alatars forces in Castle Azure, high up upon Mount Kratos. In an act of selfless sacrifice, the player of Pallando frees alatar from the grasp of Morgoths spirit. Like Gandalf, Pallando is sent back to complete his task, to the surprise of the other players mourning from his death. The two blue wizards, now reunited as brothers, control the elements from high upon mount Kratos to change the course of the battle below. While the rest of the party charge onto the battlefield, flying down on the backs of the giant falcons of Freya, who were summoned by Alatar. The battle is finally won, and the players are exuberant with the victory. I ordered pizza for everyone as they sat back, taking a break for a bit. They really felt like they'd been fighting for their lives for the 3 hours that the battle had lasted. I then read the final monologue describing the end of the campaign as they ate their pizza. As a reward, the players learned that the number of Easterlings that aided Sauron during the war was greatly reduced, and Pallando earned the name East-helper, as referenced in the wiki. Everyone felt like they had actually played a part in the movies, it was such a wholesome ending. This would make for a better story than what these people are creating on Amazon.

There's so much bullshit in this minute and a half I can't even start as a LotR fan. I think the fact Ar Pharazon is riding an eagle is probably the most disgusting bastardization of the lore that no one can legitimately defend it.

The Dark Side of the Wig is strong with this one ... but oh so pretty.

Lets not forget the hired an intimacy coordinator... This show should be cast back into the fire.

House of the Dragon dropped its trailer on Rings of Power like Dorothy dropped her Auntie Em's House on that Wicked-Ass Witch.

Another funny thing to point out I think is the armor on that guy in House of the Dragon looks much higher quality than the armors of Rings of Power even though it has less budget.

S1: Galadriel suspects Sauron is alive. He reveals himself. S2: Galadriel struggles to convince the patriarchy that Sauron is back. Sauron, in disguise, causes mischief that makes Galadriel look paranoid. The patriarchy tells her she 'Must not tell lies', but she finds an ally in the dwarves. S3: Sauron rounds up peaceful creatures to hold in camps. Galadriel stress eats until Gandalf gives her a pep talk. The halflings prove the power of friendship and tell Sauron thats he's mean. Galadriel defeats a whole army by herself. S4: Sauron gathers the Easterlings and Wild Men to his cause. Galadriel turns down Elronds proposal because she considers him a friend. The halflings help Gandalf discover his memories through the power of friendship. S5: Sauron has slaughtered countless innocents, but Galadriel still sees the good in him. The halflings teach their clan the power of friendship. The dwarves and elves put aside their differences due to the power of friendship. Gandalf is inspired by friendship. Galadriel unites everyone, but they are ultimately saved from battle as she initiates a two state solution and everyone agrees to live in peace. Sauron flirts with Galadriel but looses his physical form after using his power to curse Middle Earth, removing all their melanin. And thus ends this epic saga.

The best part was when trans Halbrand was getting pegged by Guyladriel in that biker bar. It was beautiful as Captain Kirk just stood there live streaming it on Grindir with tears rolling down his cheeks. It crushed me to see his makeup running. Then when Elvis showed up it was awesome.

Disparu getting more engagement than the series he is reviewing will always make my day.

The most entertaining things about the release of the season 2 RoP trailer were the comment section and HBO dropping the HotD season 2 trailer.
