Rio Carnival 2020. Paraíso do Tuiuti parade. Special Group. Paraíso do Tuiuti told the story of "two Sebastião" in his parade: the Portuguese king who disappeared in the 16th century, Dom Sebastião, and the patron saint of Rio de Janeiro, São Sebastião. The school also used the feeling of hope in both stories to ask for protection from Rio today. The parade embodied Portuguese and Brazilian legends in the first part, about the king, and then turned into a great procession with a request for help for the saint. In the front committee, Tuiuti imagined a meeting between the saint who lived in the 3rd century and the monarch in the 16th century. Much of the parade was dedicated to the myth that after the battle in Morocco, Dom Sebastião sailed out to sea and became king of a new kingdom under the sea, full of enchanted treasures. One of the cars represented his marine palace.
