Today I'm going over how much I paid for my 2013 Harley Davidson Street Bob Dyna Custom (FXDBC, FXDB). I bought this bike to try getting into the Harley Wheelie game. As a newbie, I did some research and this bike had most of what I thought I wanted: lane splitter handlebars, suspension, saddleman seat, quarter fairing, exhaust, etc. My biggest hangup with this bike was the mileage (23k). A bit high for my liking. Anyway, in this video I reveal how much I paid as well as discuss some of the pros and cons of buying a bike and building it yourself vs. getting one that's already set up. Enjoy!
Gear I Use:
Lapel Mic w/GoPro Hero5 Connection (everything you need for audio setup): amzn.to/2Wzw6W1
Simpson Bandit Ghost Helmet: amzn.to/2Go1RLI
GoPro Hero 4: amzn.to/2t38USf
Fox Gloves: amzn.to/2D30OOj
#dynawheelies #harleywheelies #learningwheelies #hdwheelies
2013 harley street bob custom price, how much do club style dynas cost, street bob 103 cubic inch price, what should I pay for a harley dyna street bob custom,

I think your opening statement says it all for everyone....you get on the bike, and you're young again. Instantly. And if I were to go Harley, 11 G for a Dyna would be my first choice. To me, they are the total package for commuting/touring/fun. Cool vid...held my attention the whole way.

I just picked up a 2014 Street Bob 6.5k miles with stage 1 and burly springs. Clean title, one owner, excellent condition, gave me 3 extra seats, battery tender, cover, sissy bar. Bike has transferable extended warranty through 2021. Paid $6500 cash. Basically stole it as I’ve not seen another within 2-3k of that price. My 05 has 50,000 miles and still rides like new . I know guy's that have 100,000 on their twin cam Ultras and aren't even considering a rebuild . This engine is bullet proof and no leaks and always starts . My 1200 Sportster was also very reliable also. Funny thing my first Sportster was a 74 Ironhead and even though it leaked oil and was kick start only I would buy it back in a second .

300k!? Holy smokes that's a lot of miles. I should clarify that I'm used to looking at mileage from a resale standpoint. While I know the engines can handle if when well maintained, there seems to be a huge drop in value once the bikes creep over certain thresholds, like 25k, 30k, etc. But all things considered, I'm really digging the bike and it's allowed me to get started on the wheelie practice, so no complaints. If you like the add ons, not a bad deal. As you say, he put a ton more time/cash into it. His loss, your gain. Don't know much about HD lifespans. I think by 2013, HD got the bugs worked out of the twinkie. 20k miles is nothing for most bikes though. I put that on em in a year.

Yeah, all in all it had what I was looking for. It's ridiculous if you price out the parts. Seat - $500, Exhaust - $1000, foot pegs - $300, Chain Conversion - $500....I can't bring myself to custom build and drop all that money into it. Lol. The 2013 is basically the same as what they had through 2017 (no major changes).

Hey John Im about to close the deal on a 2016 Dyna Street Bob with 5XXX Miles. These are the mods done, Crusher Maverick Exhaust , Ram Air Intake, Forward Controls, Mini Apes, Sissy bar with backrest pad. About to buy it for $8500. Assuming the bikes in solid condition, What do you think of the deal?

Sounds like a solid deal on a 2016 for sure! The upgrades aren't necessarily ones I would look for, but that price point leaves lots of room if you decide to change things up. Plus, if it's what you dig, that's even better!

@@JonsMotoGarage haven't seen the new one yet but as for a lot of wrenching it's not that bad there were the first rubber mounted motors and the frames were designed by Eric ( I think that's his first name) Buell the designer and builder of Buell motorcycle, 2 yrs ago I road mine from central Indiana to Fort Meyers Florida after it had sat for 3 yrs the evo motors are very dependable and trust worthy and you can usually pick one up for 4-5k. The 1% clubs road them because of the comfort on long rides and there dependability and they can carve a mean road. If you get a chance to test ride one you'll really enjoy it. A good deal is what you are willing to pay. If you offer x dollars for item a and they accept the offer you made a deal you could live with. Complaining after the fact is your own fault. I always tell people to do their own home work before buying anything major or even minor for that matter. Any time someone tells me they got ripped off I just laugh at them. I always low ball my first offer not because I expect them to say yes but because they should say no. Then we can work from there. I am not saying I have not gotten taken but honestly it was my own fault.

Thanks, brotha! Wish I could take credit for the build. Lol. I just picked it up as is. Although, I did put the clutch and brake levers on. Ha! Yeah, I had no idea about the "Street Bob Custom" either. To my knowledge, it was only available that year, and pretty much the only difference was the 103. I almost passed on this one cause I initially assumed it was a 96. Then I thought the dude was trying to pull a fast one until I did my homework. I had a road king recently that was similar. The 2011 rk classic had a 103, while all the standard still had the 96. Not sure why harley has to mess with us like that.
