The studio acquired some elves to bolster our MESBG collection so in today's 750 point match we have Luka playing Rivendell clashing against Connor and his Easterlings.

Luka I love the energy and appreciation for the setting that you bring to these batreps. Even if you're not a Tolkein Loremaster you're clearly a fan, and it makes the MESBG content so good.

Amazing Batrep!!! Thz so much! Two small rules - Shieldwall is determined after backing off when losing the fight and standfast's 6inch range is determined from the place where the hero ends its movement.. Small things but still great video so thx a lot :)

Normally I watched lots of 40k, and the MWG campaigns are outstanding in quality, but watching fantasy, and this, is a lot of fun if you know the rules or not, because you guys have fun. :D

Great to see Easterlings on a tabletop!!! When you jump a fence you can land in a control zone if you make it over but can only charge if you roll a 6. Keep it up fellas.

1:05:50 me you should put that guy in base contact with the banner just in case you lose that combat so you don’t lose the banner. 1:07:59: Elves: lose the combat and banner dies Me: well saw that coming. You counter charged the rider so the banner shouldn’t have been knocked prone and received extra attacks.

Love the color scheme of the easterlings! Interesting having two drummers on the Easterlings, surprised you didnt put atleast one with the pikeblock though

The Easterling drums have a 12" range. The drummer from Amdur's group should have lead the unit onto the field and made a beeline for the infantry to get them into the fray faster. Easterlings are scary fast if you use the drums correctly.

So glad this came up in my feed. This army i won tournaments with. Rivendell is strong af with gandalf and all cavalry. Sad we cant get support on main channel, this is one of the best systems in my opinion

Victory going to the elves I would say from the army lists, and generally easterlings are a bit weak, seems to have changed since dragon emperor though. It's good to see some LOTR Sbg played. Would love to see some legendary legion vs legendary legion battlereports as well!

26:34 wraith of bruinen was faqed to 3 inches but facing amdur you wraith him to remove his horse and gleaming horde then you charge with lances and elrond so you are 5 dice to his 3 😁 but i guess playing for the fun .

Rivendell knights are fantastic for their cost. They're costly, yeah, but damn they're a toolkit on a horse.

Just so you know Luka the rath of Bruin has been faq to be 3". Also elf bows are s3 so they would kill the defense 5 armoured hourses on 5s. Great game love watching you play lort

I play with rules at written in the rulebook as well. The faq stuff is silly. This isnt 40k, we don’t need 100 faq’s to reference every game

@@aprilecotton2060 FAQ keeps the game balanced and fair. 6" Wrath of Bruinen is oppressive and centralizes the game around it. The issue with 40k is the frequency of FAQs and how poorly done they are.

Last week the Embracer Group bought the rights for everything related to Lord of the Rings. There is a chance that after current contracts run out that GW won’t be able to keep the license for producing miniatures and games. The Embracer Group got their own games company in Atomic Mass Games. (SpikeyBits published an article on that topic two days ago.) Are you concerned Middle Earth will come to end not because GW wants to end it, but because they simply loose the rights to continue with it?

It's nice to see the game but it was frustrating to not see more obvious uses of heroic move such as when you lost priority and had some very good charges lined up. Or using Elrond to his full potential. Also they FAQed Wrath of Bruinen- it is now 3".

from a competitive perspective its just dumb and "helping" the opponent to NOT use the wrath with Elrond when there was a perfect opportunity to use it. But i get it its a fun and not so serious game. And same with not taking the armor to Glorfindel. And i understand the fluff perspective when the model did not have a heavy armor so fluff points 4 that! BUT otherwise cool game! and more mesbg content plz!
