Hey Team,
Over the last few days we have been busy getting river and wave ready. It's been crazy busy here at the park, and we are in a crunch to get pools up and going so we can run slides.
It took approximately 16 hours to fill the river, and less than a day to turn it over to make it blue.
I also had a few more repairs on PVC, so I have answered some requests to show my repairs.
Want to support the Channel?
We have setup an Amazon Wish-List with snacks, drinks and others supplies for viewers to send to the team at the water parks.

You remind me of a channel called HVACR VIDEOS. It's all about being in the field of work and was originally used as training for employees. I hope to see more "in the field" channels like yours because not only is it entertaining but it also is a great way to spike interest, help people understand what you guys do in the field, and encourage people to do more things like you. I love this channel, super interesting, keep up the great work! :)

I would love a future video showing the amount of chemicals required to balance all those pools after filling if it’s not too late
@hubbabubba5177
@hubbabubba5177 3 жыл бұрын
Usually tap water is mostly balanced on its own and doesn't need much (depends on the area though). For on the fly adjustments, I would guess they have a controller that can test and add chems as needed. Usually commercial has a liquid chlorine, and a muriatic acid pump. But that's my experience for pools you might find in a hotel or a community pool, which are peanuts to this thing lol
@pleasureincontempt3645
@pleasureincontempt3645 Жыл бұрын
@Hubba Bubba the liquid “Chlorine” your are referring to is Sodium Hypochlorite. Chlorine is a Gas and is only ever present as a liquid under the extreme pressures of a gas cylinder. The only time you’ll ever see Chlorine as a gas is in a major accident or war crime. Even mixing Ammonia and Bleach; You’d only ever recover/suffer Chloramine vapor which is deadly in it’s own right, But not the genuine article.

I recommend you get extra orings for that filter and keep they stocks. We run these filters at work so have a lot of experience with them. Be careful not to over tighten the little filler cap on the top they snap off easy and break off inside the lids. We had to run bigger holed metal filters in ours but for general water application you should be good.

Just curious why that pipe requires a catch basin. Does the pump that supplies the slide not have one already? I’m guessing this one has a smaller screen to catch anything that could clog the jet, where the main one has a larger screen as to not impede the flow of the water too much?

I remember when you showed us the pits earlier on, and from the video you could tell they were large, but somehow now that they're full of water it's different. You can tell just how MASSIVE those pits are when you see the water in them. One of those pits is probably larger than your average backyard pool! lol Are you ever going to talk chemicals? I have a backyard pool and I've read about saltwater systems, Bromine vs Chlorine, liquid shock versus powder, different types of algaecide, and all that jazz. Wonder what you think of all that and what you use there. How much chlorine you must go through. Probably get it by the pallet!

something huge you can do for super cheap. get some barbs and tubing for those topside bleeder port valves. run that down to the floor. the tubing also acts as a sight glass to see when you're flowing liquid. look at the corrosion on the equipment. you can also leave those valves slightly cracked to deal with built up dissolved gasses from turbulent flow.

Any concern of the concrete slab underneath the strainer shifting over time and damaging the pipe connections? I'm sure its very heavy, but in my mind the rocks underneath as well as the ground eroding over time would lead to some shifting and strain on the connections.
