Thanks Terry for your video response. Do you think using white using the same technique will help fade paint for weathering?

Yes, I believe you can use them for fading. Instead of using just white, try mixing it with a lighter version of the color you are trying to fade. As you saw, watercolors can be mixed right on the surface. The black that was added actually darkened the brown a little. Thanks for watching and commenting!
