Thanks for your videos. I bought this bike a few days ago, and I use it for the first time yesterday. Unfortunately going at the 8 speed, the chain makes a noise like as it wasnt well adjusted. So I will have to bring it back to Decathlon to be adjusted. Despite of that it is a beautiful bike and the time I used it I enjoyed a lot 😊

Thank you for the details in this review. I am not decided yet, and I have a question: This bike have a torsion sensor or a cadence sensor. I would prefer a torsion sensor... I saw the other Decathlon bike - rockrider 500 and is same price. Do I need an electric bike? I live in a not to big city.... Thank you!
@ArthurBrassart
@ArthurBrassart 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for your comment. This bike has a torsion sensor. If you are living in a not very big city you can use a regular bike. It will be cheaper and you will be doing more sport. Which is better! E-bike is more useful for high hills or longer distances. If you you will be doing short distances you can use a simple and cheaper bicycle. You still will be happy 😃 But i like me e-bike. Its very comfortable ;) PS. Im always used regular bikes and they are still ok :)

Very nice to see your bike is holding strong for 5000 km. I see you now have the newer version, 2020 model. But I think it's only the color and logo that changed. I like my red/gray Riverside. :) I am at 1300 km now, I only do short trips to and from work. But I'd wish we could unlock it, 25 km/h feels slow, 30 - 35 would be better.
@ArthurBrassart

Thanks a lot :) Yes, my e-bike is still holding strong (almost 7000 km done). It's still not broken, but I need to replace again my braking pads. Yes 30-35km would be better but it becomes dangerous to ride. Its better ride slowly but longer :D To ride faster I want to build my own custom e-bike. With bigger tiers, more powerful battery and dual motor like in Tesla Cars ;) Im happy you are happy with your bike! A lot of my friends bought this bike as well.

Thanks Arthur for this video. I have a question: What happens when you hit more than 25 km/h? Will the engine stop running or will the engine continue to run but with limited power?
@ArthurBrassart
@ArthurBrassart Жыл бұрын
Hi, so when you hit 26 Kmh the motor stops assisting you. It means you are riding using only your legs' power. it will not be slowing down. For example, while riding from the hill you can ride 50km per hour but the motor will stop assisting you once you will reach 25km per hour. Hope you got the idea. It's for your security. Btw if you want to ride faster than 25 km per hour - try this: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a9iIarl8ztLRYH0.html

Merci pour votre review ! Petite question, en cas de crevaison arrière, la roue arrière n'est pas trop galère à enlever vu qu'il y a le moteur ? Ça change beaucoup d'une roue arrière standard ?
@ArthurBrassart
@ArthurBrassart Жыл бұрын
Maintenant, j’ai un nouveau jouet 😎 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a9iIarl8ztLRYH0.html

As for now i have done almost 8000 km :D That's a lot haha, probably more than some people are doing in 1 year by using a car. I used to live far away from my work. Everyday I was driving through the whole city of Paris. That's quite a big distance. Anyway its better and more comfortable then using car or public transport :) I'm driving my bike even when its cold or its raining. No excuses! Even if it will be the End of the Earth I will still be driving my e-bike :D

Nice review. I am looking for an E-bike for Swedish all year round biking for distances between 10-30km/daily. It will mostly be stored outside without the battery. Based on your experience, how does this bike handle heavy rain and snow? If you remove the battery, can you leave it outside in the rain without electrical issues? How is the battery charge and distance affected by sub zero temperatures? Any problems with frozen gears when the bike was new? So far I have not found a single winter review of this bike.
@ArthurBrassart
@ArthurBrassart 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment! I'm riding this e-bike in heavy rain quite often. No problem at all. It drives like a tank :D I am not sure about leaving the bike under the heavy rain without the battery installed. I think water can damage electronic components if the battery will not be installed since it covers connector from water and humidity. I would not recommend doing this. When temperature is going down you are loosing some battery. That's true. But range lose is not very significant. You will start to feel it only when it will be very very cold like -15. Up to -2 it's ok. I hope I helped you ;) PS. Maybe I will do a winter review of this e-bike as well. it's a great idea! Good Luck ;)
@SnokenX
@SnokenX 2 жыл бұрын
@@ArthurBrassart thank you for a quick reply. Leaving the bike outside with the battery in is like asking for it to be stolen unfortunately. I've had my normal non e-bike stolen despite two heavy locks while being attached to a bicycle stand. On the other hand this bike will fetch a lower price on the second hand market which might defer an intelligent thief. And on the plus side I would be able to afford two of these bikes before reaching me middle tier e-bikes I have been reviewing so far. The weather is always an issue for most bikes. Unfortunately the battery location for mid drive motors often seem to be less ideal for a downpour. I might be able to attach some kind of rain cover over the battery socket when the battery is out... It's good to hear that the bike performs well even in around zero temperatures. That is what I wanted to hear! I will go to Decathlon and try it out. It's also positive that they sell suitable mud guards at the same store. Thank you!

Hi. Thanks for subscribing to my channel. So I did already over 10.000 KM in 3 years. This e-bike is great for the price. It was used under the rain, in the mud, in the city, it was transporting some heavy objects - it survived everything. After 3 years of usage, the battery started to become quite used. In the future, I will need to change it. I already changed the breaking pads several times - but these are normal things that should be replaced from time to time. I’m using this battery like hell 😅it still works fine. I don’t think that bringing it home from street will damage it. Maybe just if you were living in a very cold city 🥶 normally it should not damage it. And by the way, it’s better to store the battery in the hot place. I mean ambient temperature 🤓

The reviews on the Decathlon- website often mention problems with the wheel/spokes. I recon it is a weak spot of this bike. Especially if you are a bit more athletic (bigger) build.I'd suggest to buy an extra rear wheel for only €155. That way you always have a spare when your wheel needs to be repaired again. Or you can change the rim for one of DT Swiss as I did for rear wheel of my Cube Nature. Since I did that it copes well with my 120 kilos...

Hello. Honestly I bought this bike and I'm disappointed. The 25km limit is ridiculous. You don't feel the same? It feels almost like its braking above 25kms.. maybe a defect? Also, when riding uphill on the road the motor assistance is insufficient in my opinion. I feel that I would be better with a non-electric bike as they are almost 8 kilos lighter.. and in my opinion it's not comfortable enough. When the road is not perfect, you feel everything..
@ArthurBrassart
@ArthurBrassart 3 жыл бұрын
Maybe yours is having some problems. But yes, when the road is not perfect I agree you feel every imperfection in your stomach :D Speed limit is for battery saving. Also its a legal obligation to limit the speed to 25km h, cause you will need to get a licence plate and insurance like for a real motorcycle or car. My motor is very powerful and I can feel how it pushes me. Check with your local store if you still have warranty! ;)
