I spent many a Saturday night during my teenage years staying up late to watch the Ghoul on channel 50, Kaiser's Detroit station. RIP Ron Sweed, you were the best!

I used to watch the Ghoul and Froggy on WKBD TV 50 as a kid back in the mid-1970s. The one movie that I remember the most is "Robinson Crusoe on Mars".

I enjoyed watching the Ghoul in California Bay Area - I loved during the energy crisis he turned out all the lights in the studio to save power and wore a football helmet with two lights attached to it. He was so wild and surreal - lots of fun-

With John Cougar's music this is newer than i thought. I remember the winemaking sketch from the early 70's he did when his show was briefly shown in the san francisco bay area. I couldn't stop laughing at him blowing stuff up with firecrackers and stuff, and I remember a christmas special he did too. Always wondered what happened to his show when it went from here.

OH DAMN,We used to stay home and watch "THE GHOUL" ON WXON TV 20 AND WKBD TV 50 AND WHERE EVER he got bumped to or kicked out of. We even used to put a cassette recorder in front of the tv to record the sound to laugh later.[pre video taping era] even bought a Ghoul Power shirt at a record store in Royal Oak Michigan.

I suspect the MR BILL stuff from SNL might of been inspired from this Froggy stuff.

That's inevitable, I wonder if Froggy the Gremlin brewed up wine tasted like.

i forgot how cool the background music was on his show ,,
Back in the 70's, The Ghoul had two original rubber Froggie dolls. One was fairly intact which he used for the regular skits and one that was beat to shit because that was the one he always crushed, smashed, sliced, diced, ignited, launched in a rcoket, ect.
