Mine has worked great. No issues (knock on wood). I absolutely love this car. Its quite. Has a nice system and luxury look for not much money comparatively. The only thing I had to get used to I didn't care for were the poor sight lines driving this vehicle. It's fine when you get used to it....but it takes a little time to figure out where the car starts and ends toward the front and back and around pillars.

It’s a ZF 9 speed transmission which could also be found in the Acura TLX V6 and Honda Pilot. Apparently it was a very problematic transmission despite being made by the legendary ZF company.

I would say anything 8 speed or more. I rented a Infiniti Q50 with a 7 speed and it didn’t shift around. The 8 Speeds in the Chrysler and Toyota products shifted around a whole lot, especially the Toyota. Every slight hill I drove on, the rpms rose a bit. I rented a Jeep Renegade with 9 Speed and it had trouble on the highway trying to get into the 9th gear. I have a 2009 Chrysler 300 with a 4 speed auto and the rpms hold steady on moderate hills and even going up a 1800 ft mountain on I-64 outside of Charlottesville.

Design wise yes. Internally no. Same shit ass transmission that's in the dart is in this thing. I have friends that are fixing these things as we speak who work for Dodge. They have told me to stay away. If they say stay away, I have to. You don't get better advice than from the guys working on the cars. This is a pretty piece of shit. If you do buy one, buy it new so you get the full warranty. You're going to need it.

David Huntley, sorry, but you're 100% wrong on that claim. The Dart has a 6-speed transmission either from Powertech or FPT. The new 200 has a ZF-built 9-speed. Also, this _is_ the first all-new 200, even internally. The old 200 and Avenger were warmed-over Sebrings. Yuck. This one has a legitimate shot at being something special, though. I just wish they wouldn't have done the Detroit skyline accent- it strikes me as tacky.

Their quality on their new line up is amazing now!!!

Dart, yes. Cherokee has solid performance and is not having any trouble selling all of them. This car, definitely has the real substance to compete. Dart needs to go back to the drawing board. It happens to every company, a car not selling what they hoped for.

dobbins2550 the thing about the dart is that it's not markted right, but when dodge finally turns into a performance brand they say will be, it would be ok in sales. It already sales more than any version of a VW Getta. The dart is a very sporty-like compact and that is turning away alot of normal compact car buyers. But that's ok for Dodge. They have a planned B Segment car in the works which (like the dart) might fit between B and C segment

Good looking car. One of the best in the class but due to it's 1st year production the fit and finish is a little bit sloppy.

Soft touch materiel is one thing in a car but if I can't enjoy driving it then what should I care if the dashboard is made of genuine leather? If a proper stick works just fine as is then why the hell change it to some damn silly retracting knob? I grew up in a different time and I learned when you want to put a nail in a piece of wood, you don't need to do anything fancy or glamorous. Just take a hammer and keep hitting the sonofabitch until it's in.

If they don't advance then the competition will, and then they will eventually be out of business. Same thing with the 9 speed auto. Better performance, better economy, innovation. This has nothing to do with a sebring its completely reworked. And btw I had an 07 Sebring and although it had an extremely low rent interior and terrible driving dynamics I sold it off with 183k miles and it not once ever gave me a problem.

The point is the calculated sales figures are going to actual customers. They aren't going to rental fleets to just get the sales in. So when you sell them to actual customers rather than rental fleets you know you have a more desirable vehicle. That is the point. Chrysler has been gaining customers and cutting back on rental fleet sales. They aren't the (rental car queen company) that so many refer to them as.
