I don't understand the bad views/opinions on this car. AWD, dual exhaust, V6 with power, moon roof, bad ass audio system, and very affordable. Very few cars comparable.

I researched the HECK out of this model online: reviews, videos, etc. etc. etc. and concluded that it was the "sleeper value of the year" as dealerships were clearing out loaded S AWD models for $25K and used '16s with low miles for $18K. There's not another model out there with so many features: 4 doors, decent trunk space, 19" wheels, AWD and almost 300hp. If it's your only vehicle--and you tend to haul adults around a lot (who would be impacted by the sloping rear lines when entering the back seats--it's probably not the car for you. But as a 2nd vehicle--one in which usually no more than 2 adults occupy--the other qualities of this S AWD are unbeatable. Plus FCA has worked through all the bugaboos that plagued earlier models. There's some brand new 2016s on dealer lots even this late into 2017 that you can pick up for $10,000 below MSRP--that will still enjoy a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty and 6 years on the powertrain. I am not convinced you can find a better sports sedan for $25,000 out there.

I just traded my 2015 200S AWD after only 15 months and almost 30,000 miles. Overall it was a great car. Gobs of power, great interior, awesome UConnect and grip galore. The 9spd transmission was reflashed once after a few gremlins but worked well for the most part. I traded for a white Cherokee trailhawk V6. The 9spd in the trailhawk works much much better and is super smooth, though it doesn't want to go into 9th gear at all. I traded because I need the room. Resale was poor at import dealers but much better at Chrysler dealers. Thankfully I liked the trailhawk. The 200S is a great car and well worth the look!!

considering the majority of the 200 sales went to rental companies no wonder it was-best selling, so was the 2012 impala another rental car special car. the car felt cheap plasticy and over all disappointing and dont get me started on how slow and clunky the 9 speed was. i agree with the head of fiat calling the makers of this car a bunch of "dumb dumbs"

Especially thenall brown one 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Stop being a hater douch, sorry Bouche. After looking at many fun cars, I bought the 200s v6 awd version after watching most vids I could find and I disagree with half of them. Car is not cheap feeling at all, very nice actually and quiet. Power is a surprise to other cars as you launch past them (AWD works amazing). Sad the car got a bad rap from the 200 tag but well worth the try for your self. The 200 4 cylinder, that's a different story.

Form over function is a very Italian thing. So the roof line isn't that big a surprise. That they would reference a Hyundai for that form instead of a Fiat however is. Poor Chrysler though, they really can't catch a break. I feel like they will go the way of AMC soon.

+keri “KJ” ellerbe Honda did the same thing with the previous Civics. They knew they screwed them up and did nothing about it. It all comes down to dollars and cents. Bad cars still sell and most dealers will mark it down to get it off of their lots as they are money losers the longer they sit on their lots. Thus people basically steal these bad cars and feel like a winner in the end even though they own this bad car. Their designers should have just called Peter Schreyer of Hyundai/Genesis and asked him to draw it for them if they can't steal it successfully from him on their own.
@gmman010983

Herc Zeus When this new 200 came out I was not impressed and tbh I don't know what Chrysler even wants to be anymore... The 300/charger platform is played out which is why they stuffed that big hellcat engine into that platform to keep it relevant, the only hope they have is keeping the Cherokee, Ram, and that new Pacifica VAN competitive.... Oh yea and keeping the reliability out the toilet...
@herczeus9341
@herczeus9341 8 жыл бұрын
keri ellerbe Buying Chrysler gives the Italians the opportunity to introduce Alfa to North America successfully. Which I believe was one of their primary goals and reasons why they bought Chrysler from Merc in the first place. Which they are now doing in fact. Selling them in Chrysler dealerships. Eventually that is.
@gmman010983
@gmman010983 8 жыл бұрын
The best cars that I liked from Chrysler growing up were the LH cars from the 90s to mid 00s... Despite weak transmissions and that awful 2.7 liter V6 they were really nice cars.. After that I stop noticing Chrysler when the 300 came out and EVERYBODY got one and put stupid rims on them which made them obnoxious too look at. This new Pacifica looks promising tho.
@herczeus9341
@herczeus9341 8 жыл бұрын
keri ellerbe Unfortunately they need more than one promising car in order to re-stabilize the entire brand. I believe they are more invested in bringing Alfa to the US & Canada then reinvesting heavily in Chrysler at the moment.

Great review, Steve! Totally not buying Sergio's assessment that the roofline doomed this car, lots of people buy 4-door cars with no intention of ever hauling full-sized adults in the back. Probably more like the business case for crossovers. I would always give a naturally aspirated V-6 a second, and third, look though. Even with no Android/Apple car play, still a very nice infotainment system. If you live in a more rural area that's not near a Honda/Toyota dealer, you could do a lot worse. And you may recall, BMW offered Lava Blue leather on the 7 series in the late 2000's. Though it seemed to paired most often with Michigan Blue, I thought it looked amazing with Black Sapphire.

And also the Mazda 6 doesn’t sale for shit masza said it it’s self so they only making the car because they want two , Chrysler need a car that’s ginna sale and the 200 didn’t and that’s why they aren’t making it anymore.
