Once again we could watch the mechanic Gauthier Verdonck from the World Tour Team Trek Segafredo building the brand new 2023 Trek Domane (It was actually not a bike for a specific rider, it was build for a Team Sponsor). Who has paid close attention could see that Team Trek Segafredo uses the model already since the spring classics. On September 8, 2022, the Domane was now officially presented to the public. The frame is a complete new development, it is lighter, stiffer and more aerodynamic. All cables run completely inside the frame and only come out at the headset. All the details of the new frame and the equipment as it is used by Team Trek Segafredo in the video. Have fun watching.

It took me less than a year to be able to build a road bike from the frame up on my own and I have a small handful of frame-up builds under my belt now. My first build for my own customer is a Specialized S-Works Roubaix (fifth-gen, the first one with Future Shock), then the bikes as follow: •Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL7 with Shimano Dura-Ace R9120 (I'm one of the first few in my country to build a Tarmac SL7 with a mechanical groupset) •Specialized Allez Sprint Disc (first-gen) •Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL6 (rim) •2021+ Trek Émonda SLR •Pinarello Dogma 65.1 •My bike (my first new frameset in 10 years of riding) •Winspace T1500 Disc

@@roadbikechannel to be clear: i am not against a mechanic running a tap through the threads. But you have to wonder why the tap is actually cutting so much material out of there. Same if you would show resurfacing the disc brakes mont and you would have to cut off more than a hair of material, just not a sign of the high quality frame i expect for the 5k price point.

weight doesn't matter -- it's been proven time and time again. It only matters in hill-climb events where you're ascending a slope (and not descending). It's been shown countless times that if you're rolling on flat ground, or mixed terrain, weight just isn't that important a factor.
