I am a U of M researcher currently working on a concussion study. When you asked how do you know if you have a concussion, the first thing I said out loud 😂, did your bell get rung! Your dad was right also. I just subscribed. After all, I have watched a lot of your videos in the last week. I enjoy them. In addition to working my job remotely, I am a full time caregiver to my husband and we don't travel now. I miss it. Thank you for the tremendous hard work you do making interesting and entertaining travel videos. I am praying for you and especially for Blue's healing. He is so smart! Blessings.

Wow, that could be scary! Glad you’re okay. If you hit your head and DON’T see a big bump (and blood) on the outside, that’s when you worry!! Because then that means “the bump” is on the inside and that’s a bad concussion. I’ve worked as a surgical assistant for over a decade where we specialize in giving people a checkup from the neck up! 🤕

Awww that brought fond memories of the last time I was cutting branches. I watched it fall & then watched it bounce back & ricocheted off of my eyebrow. Huge goose egg, as it changed colors for a week. My Dad would've said "It's only a flesh wound"...

You need to go to Dollar Tree & get a pool noodle & cut it to wrap around the ladder then wrap with duct tape or something

As a native New Mexican and you stating “New Mexico doesn’t play” it’s why we love where we are. We don’t got big cities but we do have beautiful outdoor things to do.. wish you could have visited the Gila wilderness. But happy to see the appreciation for my home.

(This might be a little long) I just got obsessed with van/truck living. Went thru several people's channels until I found yours. I got instantly hooked and now I'm watching yours like I'm watching a movie. I'm legit watching them in order. 😂 Off subject, I think you can build some tiny "pantry cabinets" over your "kitchen" counter. Also, maybe some spray flex seal would work on the exposed metal on your roof that keeps condensation. Love your content!! ❤

I highly recommend chopping up a handful of baby spinach in your salad too. It has so many nutrients lettuce doesn’t have and you can’t even taste it. I mix it in with the lettuce.

I met a little blue this week. She was 11 weeks old and looked just like blue, but small. Her humans were training in the park when I did a double take. I thought it was blue but then I didn't see a Maria around. Take care of yourself Maria and keep in your med kit some instant cold packs. They'd bring down that swelling and make you feel better fast.

Someone get her those bags you squeeze and they pop and get cold. Always ice a bump like that! Keeps the swelling down and you won't have such a severe headache. Make sure you always have extra acetaminophen or ibuprofen on hand. New Mexico is stunning, thanks for the video Maria!

I hope you heal soon. My wife fell off a latter and got a goose bump on her head a few years back and it was about a month before she could sleep on that side of her head. No worries if this takes some time to heal. So glad your dad is a great resource there for you. Best Wishes Maria

Generally, as long as you DO get a goose egg- that's good! When you DONT ,then swelling is INSIDE your skull ( BAD)..At least that was the frame of reference for raising my 4 sons! Love you & Blue

I hope you have a good medical kit. If not you need one. You can get those instant ice packs for injuries. You just break a cell inside the pack and it becomes instantly cold, and they also have heat ones. Please get yourself a well stocked medical kit. Take care and be safe. ❤️

On a visit that my husband and i went on we went through the Grand Canyon we stopped along the highway and picked up some jewelry that was made by the navajo woman in the village. Concussions r serious. Just take care of yourself and do what u need to do to feel better.

Santa fe, it is where i have lived for almost 40 years. I love it, the sunsets are always beautiful. I worked at the hospital since 1984. A Consussion is not the only head injury you can get. You can get a contusion and a bleed. A hit to the head should be checked out for sure.

About eight years ago I was visiting a friend and I parked in a little spot across from her trailer and there was a paved Alley, I had to cross to get to her sidewalk and not knowing it was black ice, my feet went straight out from under me and I hit the back of my head so hard I saw Stars. It literally brought tears to my eyes and I got a goose egg on the back of my head at least an inch sticking out and about 4 to 5 in Long. My friend put ice on it and I held it there for a couple hours. I should have went to the hospital but didn't realize how very serious this can be.😢 Maybe you should get checked. Anyhow, hoping you feel better soon 😘

Pretty sure you're not suffering bad concussion there, but a few things to think about, hold the door or ladder when you bend down near it, it gives better spacial awareness. You head will pour blood if you have done serious damage - I know as has a winch hook strike a lot of years ago... And yes, my skull is rippled there, A&E just superglued the cut... So they were helpful!! On another thing, ditch the buddy heater please!! Especially if you are suffering concussion as you're not thinking totally straight - that's when errors happen. Buy a good Diesel heater and install somewhere on the truck, you'll be wishing you did that ages before!! Definitely a great mod. 2kw is plenty for a 110. 🙂

Hi Maria I found a perfect use for my first and last iphone. Take it to the local shooting range. Load the shotgun with birdshot. Blast the sucker out of the sky. Here in Teton County Idaho last summer Google Maps routed everybody who was trying to get to get to Grand Teton National Park to a wheat field 70 miles and a 8500 ft. pass away from the nearest entrance. The farmer who was continually being asked for directions finally got so pissed that he threatened violence if they didn't pull it immediately.
