Thanks for this. I also appreciate you putting the calibre in the description. However, would you please put in the scope, and rifle make and model (looked like a Rem 700)? Thanks in advance.

It's indeed a m700 and a NZ made trueflite barrel. Nz made precision platform carbon stock. Element optics nexus scope. Absolutely love this gun

Great video, thanks for sharing! The county looks beautiful. Very nice shot Jake, how long did it take to hike to the stag? I got thirsty watching you guys trying to find water 😜

@@ChasetheWildNZ Excellent. Love my 7RemMags. My custom is shooting 168 Berger VLDs over Retumbo at 3000fps. 26" Krieger barrel, Jewel trigger at 1 pound, McMillan stock, Stiller Predator action. I have 2 Tikkas in 7RemMag with 150 Barnes TTSX in one and 140 TSX in the other. I did kill a couple whitetail deer with one of my new 7PRCs using factory Hornady ELDM 180 ammo. Worked fine.

@@ChasetheWildNZ i see, may i ask why eldm over eldx? Because i am new to the reloading world, so much to learn, and btw i watched almost all your videos, awesome channel 🙌🏼👌🏼,would love too talk to you personally, how can i contact you ? And if you guys wanna hunt sindh ibex, here to help out !

@syednoori3799 The eldx is also a great bullet but harder to get here and slightly tougher so the longer range wounding isn't quite as reliable. My email is in my channel description. Feel free. Or through Instagram @chase_the_wild_nz

Another great video, thanx for that. Can I take it you were guiding there and the rifle was yours? Great shot too, perfect placement.

Although I have been shooting a long time (mainly shotguns), 22Lrs I've used a lot, but only went centrefire about four years ago and loving it. I joined the NZDA about the same time and get onto a few club shoots but too many young guns go and get to the best spots first. I've shot red spikers, half a dozen fallow (but one good buck with a patched round ball rifle). I have been dropping hints in the club to get me out onto a good Tahr and / or chamois, but no one has picked on my hints lol. While I am 70 and fitter than most my age, it's getting harder to get into the hills. It was part of the reason I moved from muzzle loading rifles to mt .243!

Good video. Try be a bit restrained in that block it can be a nice spot but after this years roar it was smashed. Hope it wasnt your big piles of shit and toilet paper just over the edge from your camp half way up the ridge. Its a lot of locals spot be nice if it didnt get broadcasted too much as it was a mess come May.

@camstocky2019 definitely wasn't us with the toilet paper etc! I bury deep and those other lads have been hunting for 20+ years. It's a very nice area. I hope I've kept it from being recognized, found 2 stags without heads and an old merino without head too. Looked like it already had a bit of attention by time we got there. Doesn't help with the R22 scouting around in the avos!
