Like... how do you believe you're more qualified to judge this than three comedians who earn paychecks doing comedy, and a studio audience who agreed with their consensus? They laughed more at Darren's jokes. Darren was the better comedian during this roast and he didn't even comment on Tom looking like Dollar Store Austin Powers

Jimmy Carr gave the W to Tom, Katherine said she only gave the W to Darren because of a joke on the end and Johnathan Ross said "it was too close for him to want to pick". So it was hardly a unanimous vote for Darren. His jokes weren't good. He wasn't anywhere as funny as Tom. The difference is night and day. It's obvious what's going on here 🤣. To be objective though, Darren literally died on stage during one of his jokes, they only get 5 jokes each, that is a 20% fail rate. Also, Toms jokes were a lot cleverer, Darren sounded like a kid in the playground with the way he delivered his simple 1 line insults. "Where's your accordion?" wow... that blew me away, he must have spent months working on that one, figuring out the correct order of the the 3 words must have been a huge challenge for him. Also again... Jonathan Ross is not actually a comedian he is a film critic and broadcaster, it is a bit like Simon Cowell judging talent when he obviously doesn't have any himself. Also.. once more why do you think that Darren should have said that Tom looks like a Dollar Store Austin Powers?? you realise this is a UK TV program with a mainly UK audience we don't have Dollar Stores here we have Pound Shops ffs. FWIW, I thought it was to add on to his Mumford & Sons joke, as that band (in)famously uses accordions. Thus, if Tom is in that band, he must use an accordion. QED. That said, the joke crashing and burning as hard as it did was for me the funniest moment of the whole roast. :-)
