Didn't know you were still shooting! For all those who do not know, Rob has been doing this stuff for years! I was a new Airbrush artist back in the 90's when I heard of this guy! I consider him the Godfather if that style and think all these new jobs are a spinnoff of what he created years ago! Rob, you are still the man! You just gained a new subsicriber!

Cars in general aren't my thing. KZfaq algorithm took me here after I saw a similar car being painted and I went down a rabbit hole. This is art on wheels. 😍😍 damn its beautiful.

a work of art. as beautiful as these paint job's are it would be hard for me to take one on the road . But that's the whole point of it. showing off your car. of course you get some people that say you should have used this color or another color. But in the end it's up to the owner. that's what makes it unique. Thanks for the video enjoyed it

Beautiful work I can only hope the owner of the 67 appreciates the time that went into creating him a piece of artwork, because the person or persons involved put part of them into this ,yes they were getting paid but this isn't their 1st time you can tell by the work .

It's not my flavor , but as a painter I definitely respect the art . How many hours of tape and masking . Very nice work.

This, exactly. Its a little too busy for me as well, but holy crap if that wasnt some painstaking and damn beautiful work. This is why I love the hotrod crowd. We all may not love every end result because we all have our own tastes, but you can see the love and pride that goes into every vehicle. Any real fan appreciates the effort more than the end result in my book.

Love your work. Looking to do a little work like this to my 72 cutlass. I grew up on lowriders but go into drag cars in high school and want to throw a nod to old school race cars that used alot of patterns , lace and paneling. Whats your rate ? Im a body man and currently re doing it to re paint it.

Question do you paint and clear between each color?
@RobVanderslice15 жыл бұрын
Jsmes Wagner No it’s binder in balance or clear that all of the candies are shot with and what all of the patterns are done then it’s clearcoat. Send it clearcoat and color sand and buff

@run4st7179 жыл бұрын
Beginner question. Are you putting on flake at the end using the clear or are you using a mid coat (like HOK SG 150)? Amazing work.
@RobVanderslice1 Жыл бұрын
It is getting put on prior to the patterns using finishing clear over a silver base multiple coats of flake and then clear before I start the Patternz . And I shoot the patterns with nebulizer it’s like a highbred version of the SG 100

Back in the 90's I heard this guy wouldn't touch a car for less than 5 grand. But, this guy is established, he has had his work published in magazines and was sought after when I was coming up in the industry. With him, yoou get what you pay for and it's worth it.
