I discovered The Doors in 1967 after buying their first album simply entitled, "The Doors". To ME they were greater than the Beatles or Stones. Their albums were concept albums that had an effect on you, just not a bunch of individual songs put on a record. They are well deserving of this award. Their music will touch the hearts and lives of generations to come!

Love these guys. Sad to see them old. It's weird for me to think that, when I first found the doors in the year 2000, when I was 10, they would have only been in their mid 50s. They were sorta young still, even tho the band seemed freakin ancient to me even then! Now they are up there, and it could make me cry, cause I'm older than Jim was when he left (by 2 years). Must be so weird to be an old man like them, but to also be so associated with this thing you did in your 20s.

Apart from their brotherhood, which was clear during the band's lifetime and beyond, I think John shows great integrity, as Jim would probably have shown as well, whereas Ray and Robby at times seemed to be ok with selling out or lie to keep the myth going, really the money that comes with it. Keep in mind this is said by a Doors fan (weak word).

Somehow I think, John does not really like to see Robbie giving a Speech!!! It´s like: "Oh Lord...just shut your mouth, or make it quick!" In my opinion John is pretty arrogant. Feeling too much as an Icon! Sure...he is...or better WAS, an important part of Rock´s history...but....I don´t know....maybe I´m wrong, but I don´t like his "proud" behaviour! Not only in THIS clip. I saw a lot of Interviews and lot of his statesments. I also read what he has written and I just can´t get rid of the feeling, he loves to talk about himself!

Every doors member has his share of flaws, like everyone one this planet. Jim was a pretty violent guy and basically drank himself to death. Ray was greedy and robbie was mean (and a heroin addict). If John is a narcissist I feel like their all on at least the same level
