Man I suck at finger picking and these hill country blues songs but man are they damn good and fun to play when you can get them down. I appreciate all these great videos man! Keeps inspiring me. Keep it up!

I get the regular thumb about 80-85 % and need to get it where I intentionally break from each beat.

If you take one small part, ignore the rest and practice very slowly and methodically it comes along quick to learn once you have the pattern. Then speed that up a bit, add a bit more and repeat. I found practice even a very little bit every day and more when you can will get you there faster than missing days and trying to make it up. All the best.

Another great lesson, thank you! Does anybody know other songs which use the same thumb pattern as this one? I know Junior Kimbrough and RL Burnside do as well but I’m looking for more bluesman who use this technique, thanks!
