Or, he's milking the system to enrich himself while giving the appearance of being caring. Every kid comes with a monthly check from de gubment.

@@frederickhaaken456 that could be the case if it were the foster care system but so believe he legally adopted them. And I gladly give my tax dollars for people who legitimately take care of children who need a loving home. Unfortunately, there are some people who get involved with foster care for the money.

I grew up in foster care from 9 to 17. At 17, I was granted permission to enlist into the US Army. I don't have siblings and I don't know my cousins through my mom. Never knew my father. I did have one foster parent that was terrible. The other three were fantastic. I served 22 years in the Army and retired and I'm now a ff/Engineer for the same county in Ca I went through the foster system in. I'm so glad to hear this story. As soneone who has no siblings. I do have 11 foster brothers and sisters I'm still in contact with. This is a awesome story.

I have been having this question before since I have learnt what is going on these western countries why they come to Africa to adopt kids yet in America many kids needs this more than in Africa . Am just asking I want to know doesn't it because it expensive to adopt in America then in my mother land Africa ?
@littlehouseinthebigapple5716
@littlehouseinthebigapple5716 9 ай бұрын
@@justinenakirya3841 I looked into adoption and honestly it’s daunting in America. Right now I’m told there’s a two year wait list just to be considered which can take another two to four years to finally get a child. It can take even longer. With fostering it’s much quicker but some people are not able to foster to adopt and do you may not get a child that way. Family’s often resort to (essentially) buying/finding a child abroad because when people decide to adopt the idea of waiting 5 or more years is excruciating. It’s all hard decisions. Fostering (even when you can’t adopt) can help the child so much but can also be disappointing and heartbreaking for families too. No good answers, only choices families make which they hope will be the best for themselves and the children.

There needs to be more people like this man in the world. The thing with the foster care System is so evil. I went to the foster care system at 2 years old, separated from all of my siblings. The all grew up in the foster care system apart. I had a brother who was 2 years older than me but then my father parents sent him away to a group home, when he was nine and I was seven, separated us. Once we all grew up, we were never close, we never formed a bond. The strange thing was the Foster family kept me from the age of 2 years old till I was 18. And then I was told what your last check came so it's time for you to go. I never received any love in the 16 years that I was in that foster home. I had to work hard. But because I was only one who was kept in a foster home for that long, my siblings hadv a problem with me. They never even understood what I went through. All they knew was that you got kept. Yeah I got kept, with no chance of adoption. And even though I tried when I got older, the time and the separation and what had transpired in their lives in those foster care years was just too much. It was five of us, I was the next to youngest I've spent my whole life around strangers.. now I'm old, still stuck with stupid memories. I'm alone, I don't prefer to be alone, but it's easier than dealing with strangers. In all my years I just never seemed to meet anyone who's about anything. I don't know if it's about me and I attract the wrong kind of people, but I've been abandoned so many times. No matter how hard I work, or how much I play the get along game, It's never enough. People always seem to want to try to use me in some way shape or form. It's easier to be alone. I really admire this man. My older brother was very talented. He could have done this for his siblings. But all he did was grow up and become a drug addict alcoholic and try to use me, never used any of his talents. And all my other siblings did the same thing. They don't like me because I didn't do what they did. I worked hard. And for years I would give to them. When I stop giving to them they stop contacting me. Some people are just born stupid. (I'm not even going to give them the excuse of being foster children when they were young.) . Not this guy, Robert Carter is a true hero.

Her mom wants nothing to do with her or her kids but wants everything to do with her son and his three kids.I became her mom when she was 14…and have been mom ever since! Yes u worry about them…yes u love them…and I’m never giving up on them!! At my church we were told to b someone’s rock…so they can build their foundation…I continue to b my youngest’s rock…so she can b a rock for someone else to build their foundation….let’s just say…we r STILL building that foundation for ALL of us!!

This is a beautiful story. My mom was a alcoholic and my dad. He was abusive and beat my mom senseless. I wish i was in foster care. 😢 I shouldn't say that, but we were beat so bad. Our skin would be open from wounds. In my father, he was not arrested one time. I do have disabilities, and one is ptsd. As a mom of 11 children and a husband of 19 years. When you go the trauma, it can break you, but you gotta rise above that. It took me years, and I am just keep praying. I give my kids what I didn't have as a kid, and that's the Lord. I give them love, and I am a sahm. I wanted my kids to know, hey, I am there for you. Some do have special needs, but that doesn't mean anything. They all love the same. ❤❤🎉

I need more spotlights on this man. Does he have a blog? He's so profound in his ability to love. What an amazing community pillar. 👏 I hope for him to write a book. ❤
