Roberto Garcia is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1992 to 2001, and held the IBF junior lightweight title from 1998 to 1999. He has since worked as a boxing trainer, and was voted Trainer of the Year by The Ring magazine in 2011, and by the Boxing Writers Association of America in 2012.

Great interview! I was there for the Casamayor fight. Garcia never lost to easy fighters. I had the Ring magazine that featured Robert as the new face on the block. Again, it was a great interview 👍

Funny, I recall Robert's last amateur when he was 17 . He fought my guy in the finals of the Western Olympic Trials in 1992. Wow, time flies.

One day in 1996..Couple homies and I..About 4:00AM were on our way out of town..Streets are empty and my boy sees this hooded figure jogging down C street towards us..We’re like this MF gotta be crazy..He gets closer and it’s Robert..😂Around 7:00PM we’re back in Oxnard..Hit the gym next to his family’s taqueria..And Robert is behind the cash register taking our order..His work ethic has always been unparalleled.Salute homie.💯

Aye Vato, your podcast setup is cool but hear me out. I podcast probably too much, I love conversations of substance and this does it for me. From a production stand point and I’m not a producer show more of angle of you and your guest. We love seeing you and your guest emotions, you know us Mexicans are emotional and a little animated. Show an angle that’s shows both or multiple people while you communicate. Aye Carnal I’m just saying 🤷‍♂️😅
