Seeing Mark and Robert Smith goof off together makes me so fucking happy. I know how much he looks up to Robert so I can only imagine what he's feeling playing a hit song he wrote in front of him on the same stage. Mind blowing! A beautiful moment and I'm glad it was captured.

I was 18, having waited for blink to tour for ages it was an epic gig, their TOYPAJ tour was cancelled cause of 9/11. So they toured the UK for Enema at places like the Garage and Forum, then finally came back for this arena tour. I went to every London show including a night at Hammersmith Apollo - they broke up soon after this

Tom is Blink 182, Skibs and Mark need to rename the band
@SonicRyan19924 жыл бұрын
2001: Tom was discontent with what blink-182 was, Mark (who was with blink from the first demo tapes) loves blink and wants to keep it going. most of the singles up to then consist of: M+Ms (a Mark song), Dammit (Mark), Josie (Mark), What's My Age Again? (Mark), All The Small Things (Tom), Adam's Song (Mark), The Rock Show (Mark), First Date (Tom), Stay Together for the Kids (Mark on verse, Tom on chorus). 2002: Tom wants to do song that aren't blink-like at the time, makes a post-hardcore band, doesn't include Mark 2003: Tom then brings that darker edge to blink, creative differences arise but Mark goes with it for the sake of the band 2005: Tom leave blink-182 amidst a faltering relationship with the band & an desire to get away from the spotlight 2007: Mark & Travis make a blink-ish style band with a blink-ish bandname: "Plus 44", while Tom does this big space rock U2 style "Angels & Airwaves" band 2014: after getting back together, Tom is uncommitted to blink-182 while juggling project, Mark & Travis don't wanna disappoint fans with delays while they're wanting to write new songs. why do people act like Mark isn't blink-182? he tries hard over and over and Tom-fans don't appreciate him and his contributions. i get that Tom is his own unique artist and i respect his passion for UFOs, let the dude go, and let people have blink-182 in SOME capacity. Tom, much like Scott, is not the end all be all to Blink-182 as MANY OTHER BANDS have even changed frontmen for better or worse. blink-182 is unique in that it had TWO driving forces. Matt Skiba still brings the dark post-hardcore vibes that Tom did in 2003, and they even try to keep the AVA-influenced style in some of their songs like "Teenage Satellites" & "Left Alone" blink-182 didn't just suddenly overnight radically change styles to something unrecognizable like Linkin Park did with "One More Light" (RIP Chester, but a fact's a fact), they retain the bulk of what made blink "blink" with or without Tom. Get over it, stay in the past, or listen to AVA, but complaining about the state of blink isn't going to change anything.
@komo5144 жыл бұрын
@@SonicRyan1992 simply cause tom is the only member of the band you can't replace.. I agree it's nothing to do with mark and travis but without tom's voice, riff, and songs, it's just not blink 182
@SonicRyan19924 жыл бұрын
@@komo514 so if Mark is replaced instead of Tom, people wouldn't care?
@komo5144 жыл бұрын
@@SonicRyan1992 they would, but it won't affect them as much as tom leaving. Yes people would be dissapointed but Blink would not lose so much of their old fans. Blink without tom IMO is like greenday without bille joe, yes we could argue that mark is also the band's frontman, but like billie joe, tom is what make the band unique and sounds different from the others
@SonicRyan19924 жыл бұрын
@@komo514 whereas with Mark, it's another generic pop punk band? like with: "What's My Age Again?", "Adam's Song", "Dammit", "The Rock Show"

Not gonna lie i hate the fans. I rather just sit somewhere like a coffee shop and listen to Robert with blink 182 sing this. Robert voice is too precious. These fans don't deserve Rob 🖤🌹💀
@KarenKayH4 жыл бұрын
I so agree. Why pay the money to attend a performance and have to listen to fans yacking it up and yelling during the show. They miss the whole thing. I was at a concert in Seattle where the group stopped the show and gave a mini instruction to the audience about how to listen to a concert. Then they said, "We will begin again." They left the stage. The lights dimmed. A few minutes later they returned to a QUIET audience and began a stellar performance.
@kdphotos46913 жыл бұрын
