It stems from childhood trauma. When you don’t love yourself, you are attracted to men that don’t love you. If you were never properly loved and cared for by your parents, it sends a message that you are unlovable, flawed, unworthy, and so you go out subconsciously attracting anything that reinforces that belief. You can break that toxic cycle by healing the little girl in you, and learning to truly love yourself. I am a firm believer that you’ll only truly get to that space by connecting with GOD, and spending time getting to know yourself outside of what you have learned in childhood, or what other people have told you.

I remember one time I met my ex boyfriend friends. He said to me,"With all due respect, you are a beautiful and good woman. You being with him makes you look really bad". At that time I was with a guy who was selling drugs. I thought I could "save" him. Of course, I was wrong. The words his friend told me stuck throughout life and has helped me choose better people. We start chasing the wrong people because our primary caregivers didn't give us the necessary love, support and guidance we needed to grow up properly. Because this wasn't granted to us naturally we grew up with the illusion that we must chase, hunt everything we need. Now we must forgive them and ourselves and believe God will always show and give us what we need. Amen

Yes Pastor. I left A LOT of my husbands in the friend zone. Today I finally accepted that I have been the problem. Misguided standards, oversized desires, wrong illusions of what I deserve. Lord! I grew up with my father being in the house and he taught and showed me how a man is surppose to love,and treat me. I love Sarah. I was married for 14 1/2years. He passed in 2020,and I'd rather be in the house with a gold fish and a puppy,than to be with someone that doesn't love,respect and care for me. I know my self worth, I'm a Queen. I love Sarah too much.

"You are who you attract"...Sad, but that statement makes a great point. Therefore, if you don't like (with valid motives) who you're attracting, then maybe that's The LORD'S way of inviting you to let HIM heal you. Just as this Bishop referenced, you got to have THE LORD'S standards for you! Just don't choose the mate based only on status, looks, or just because he appears to be the only one interested in you. Let THE LORD match you up and if the encounters doesn't match up with your best interest, then maybe it's not time for you to be matched up just yet, but instead to...HEAL UP!!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

We have an illusion that the one we want has potential to be actually the way we want. We think our loving them, and our guidance and help and giving them what they need will bring about this miraculous change. Too late we realize it will never happen. It's the challenge, we somehow need to feel needed. They do climb up to a point, and we think it's working. It has actually worked but they never loved us, they needed that leg up from us and for a while they treated us nice. Once they get to where they want to get to, they leave to go the way they want and it's not us. That's when they run. That's when we break. But we seem to repeat this with the same personality in another's body over again... repeat, again. This is the cycle. Until we wake up. God 🥀 willing.

You are so right! It's high time for me to approve and accept a man who really cares about me. God removed my father from my life, because he was so morally corrupt, that he would have never been able to provide a good role model for his 3 daughters. My mother filed for divorce, and my father kept boasting about not paying for child support. He suffered from arrested development and is unable to realise the wrong that he's done to us. Unfortunately, I chose men like my dad, that is to say, they were emotionally unavailable and not willing to affirm and honour me. Oh Lord, please, deliver me from the approval trap, so that I can be happy in a fulfilling relationship with my future husband! I'm learning to love and validate myself now. Thank you Pastor for opening our eyes, be blessed!

I was bought up by a narcissistic father. My parents had a weird love fight relationship. Emotional, physical and mental he did his damage. I am very glad about the forgiveness of Jesus/ Yeshua. And I now need to change for the sake of the younger generation. My dream was to be with a good man but it never worked out. I learn slow but I learn well. Now I raise my 12 year old grandson. And pray that everything comes under God's perfect order. 👑

Thank you for your wisdom. You hit the nail on the head as always. I am a divorced mom of 2, previously married to a narc. Just came out of a situationship with a similar type of man. Through the healing process and going within and asking myself so real tough questions, I realized I was stuck in the approval loop for over 30 years stemming from middle/high school trauma. Finally having this awareness is helping me heal and raise my standards.

I think this helped validate my feelings about what I’m attracted to. I don’t find the bad boys attractive nor do I look at a man’s bank account. I just want to find a good man that’s into me as much as into him. There seems to be a disconnect for me in they respect of attraction thou. Either I’m really attracted to them but there are not to me, or vice versa. That’s been the road block for me. But the bad boy trope is not at all appealing to me

I definitely want to hear this word. I just watched your video about soul ties and I'm sure that's probably some part of the answer. But I was with my husband 23 yrs and we have 3 children. He moved out 3 weeks ago now I just want to learn how to move on in the healthiest Godly way possible.

This is so incredibly healing! I truly desire to be married and always have. I realized I never really understood how to properly position myself. I threw myself into a Caregiver role with my family after my brother with Cerebral Palsy fell ill and passed away. I lived in a bubble of grief and guilt for so long. I've taken an active role in intentionally healing and God truly continues to do an incredible work through me. Also down over 70 pounds and learning how to better position myself to have the right man pursuing me. I appreciate your care ❤️❤️❤️

So true!!!! Been there, done that and as a result lost myself and now a lonely older woman. Didn't know my senior years would be spent full of regrets! To young women, listen to this! I didn't know what is being by this Pastor. I didn't teach this and wound up a shipwreck having turned down one's that would be the right one and being ALONE, listen y'all you don't want this !!!
