Yeah for me I think Luo deserves his number retired. He has a decent chance at being a hall of famer. It’s debatable if he’s 1st ballot or not but eventually I do think he gets in. If that happens I have a hard time seeing the Canucks not retiring the number of a hall of fame goalie who played in 8 seasons for them at the prime of his career especially when there have been so few hall of fame players in the history of the Canucks.

They have a only a helmet, a couple of pictures, a magazine, a couple of plaques, and a Jersey that he never even wore in the display case. He is the franchise leader in points and they can't even use a jersey he wore. Their tribute display to john vanbrisbrouck has a net, several game pucks, his helmet, his stick, a jersey he wore, several magazine covers and other things in it.

I like to see hockey players where traditional hockey numbers between 1 and 49 and especially numbers between 1 and 19. One consequence of so many retired numbers has been an increase in non-traditional football numbers between 50 and 99. Some of these high numbers bother me more than others. Nevertheless, I prefer the lower numbers. There are too many lower numbers between 1 and 19 retired throughout the league.

He began his career there, went to Van to play his prime and try and win, and the second that was over he went right back. If he went in the HHOF, it would make more sense to induct him as a Panther really.
