Melissa and I played it with two players and enjoyed it. It scales pretty well because you have fewer pennies on the roads and only 3 hideouts instead of 4 are used.

Traps and Barricades are important but not the only way to win. It's more about the reputation track. It is similar to the reputation track in Scythe. The higher up you are on that track the better. Most of the points will be earned based on the reputation track. BUT it's not just traps and barricades. There's also the crusades and the number of envoys you have there can give you some big points. Also the envoys correspond to the number of King Richard's tasks you can activate. This also gives you more points.

Barricades, Traps, and Envoys are the 3 main ways to score points. Not only will they be worth points at the end based on your reputation level, but they also earn you other points. When Carriages are robbed, whoever owns Barricades on that road will score 2 points per Barricade. If you capture Guards with Traps, you can exchange them for points or resources. And Envoys give you access to your King Richard's Task cards. BUT if you don't gain a lot of reputation, those 3 things will be worth fewer points. So -- you need to both build the Traps and Barricades and increase your Reputation.

actually the carriage is at that barricade so when the road activated it hopped over that barricade was not stopped by any other barricade. So the carriage made it all the way into the castle.

To me it is vastly different from Scythe. The two things that were similar to Scythe were the Reputation track and uncovering items to get hidden stuff on your player board. But the way you move up the reputation track works differently then Scythe. There is no output randomness in Scythe (i.e. Dice Rolling to determine success or failure). Did you actualy see this video? If you did, you would know this plays anyhow but like Scythe! In Scythe there's no dice-rolling, no worker placement, no hand-management, no semi-cooperative gameplay. In Robin hood there's no areacontrol. There's almost no similarity between the two games.

The shields are misses and the targets are hits. I believe she rolled shields.

in robbing the rich, as long as you get at least one hit on the first roll then you can decide to proceed to the next roll. It's three separate rolls.

This is a little too much Roll to Resolve EVERYWHERE. I expected designers to have matured a little, but it's a little too much.

Also the scoring is a MESS. It's like a point scoring salad without technically being a point salad game. Does a winner really feel they played better? :D
