Brittney never left the airport. When people enter a country thats not their own they might be ignorant of the laws. She wasn't in Russia selling drugs. She should have been turned around and sent back to the US, ban her from ever enteting again. And her original sentence was way too harsh even for a local.

Interesting that many of the comments in the comments section are written by people who have never travel outside of the US. In Canada, you can be fined for putting your foot on a seat when riding public transportation. Nobody jailed Pamela Anderson Lee when she overstayed her visa. Hypocrites! So many people unknowingly break the law when they travel.

@@sandycarter5300 Pure evil? It's just the law there. She knew the law, and she chose to break it. I smoke, but I'm not going to Russia either. Follow there laws or don't go there. It's pretty simple. You do crime, you do the time. I mean seriously look at the trouble she caused, and she had the nerve to kneel at her games when they played the national anthem. I mean seriously wtf. And, I don't know if that guy they got is a spy, and if he was I'd still not know because they ain't going to tell you, but somethings wrong there because if he was innocent he'd be home. So it's not evil. It's the law, and thats all that needs be said about it.

Trevor Reed was incarcerated in a Russian prison for being publicly intoxicated and fighting with Russian police, however, there was no righteous indignation about following Russian laws when President Biden negotiated for Trevor’s release from a Russian prison. The difference in attitude is obvious!

@@ChiGirl-jj6vi so what are saying is that bad or good. Because I think Biden should of left him there. You shouldn't go to other countries and crap on their law. I mean hitting a cop is a given in every country to be illegal. The only one I have a difficult time judging is that wheeler guy. The supposed spy, but the Russians must have found something to implicate him. Their not cavemen they have judicial system, and if he was innocent most likely he'd be home by now.

This is about a human being. Who made a mistake. A really big mistake. And she made it in a communist country run by a VERY EVIL man, Putin. There’s no comparison between Russia’s communist court system & America’s. The punishment was extreme & I’m beyond happy for her that she’s home. Refusing to have compassion for someone’s suffering, in this situation, is both mean-spirited & arrogant. Britney owned her mistake & seems genuinely humbled by the experience. There are many, also in the public eye, who could learn from her.
