We joined WWI because a group of American citizens were killed when a British sub, the Lusitania, was sunk by German troops. Pagan holidays, not necessarily bunnies but to be fair the "resurrection" according to the bibles description of the season isn't spring, or so most historians believe same thing with Christmas, not really Jesus's birth according to the way the seasons are described in the bible. Gotta realize most of these holidays weren't made to actually celebrate those, that was just a lie made by the church to try and smother pagan holidays and convert them to Christianity.
