Love this idea of mass making Such a simple but effective technique. I appreciate that you show a possible way to use your papers. I enjoy watching many different channels where they make papers for my own inspiration, but they often don’t show ways to use the papers. Thank you. I always enjoy your videos. 😄

Love this look! Mass making is the way to go with this and lots of other layering techniques on the gelliplate. I mass make backgrounds in my art journals too. I think this mottling technique will look super on spring/ Easter eggs!

@@RobynMcClendon Love! Wish you could see the comparison but I'm sure my friend's pics are private, it was total synchronicity! I went right out about bought more distress ink after watching this video! I gave my inks away years ago because I couldn't think of anything except rub them on the edges of papers and I grew out of that look. Now I see how to make Jaipur walls, Marrakesh walls, San Miguel de Allende walls, all the walls LOL.

Tim Holtzs makes a distress pad called Blueprint which is a very neat blue and would work well with this in place of the woad.

Awesome! I love how you use the gel plate for inking your papers. I just found your channel. It was in my feed. I gave you a 👍🏻 and I also became a subscriber. I am totally new to this type of art. Typically,I am a very structured card maker. I find these new techniques a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing! Can I ask, what is that product from France you were talking about? Is it a type of stain or dye?

Thanks so much for joining my community and Welcome!! It’s a cross between watercolor and dye a bit like indigo but from a plant native to the south of France. It’s called woad. It’s nearly impossible to find here in the states but I think easier on Europe and of course France❤

Hi Robyn, I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I'm still having trouble seeing your worksurface. It's blasted out white. If you've tested the camera white balance, I'm wondering if you were to use a non-white worksurface if that would help? Like a soft gray or a cream colored board. I can see detail in the calligraphy paper and the graph paper but anything brighter than that is hard to see, even with the distressing. I just couldn't see anything, so I skipped to 28 minutes where you have the chinese-character paper. and it's still blasted out white. I wish I could see what you are doing. Oh! at 29:22 that's perfect! The papers are beautiful. I can even see the detail on the Frida page. One possibility, you might try a low wattage key light from the side if you want a little more contrast, which will throw a little shadow to compensate for the lower brightness. Or even bounce light off a white board outside the frame. Lighting is really hard to do. Anyway! thank for sharing! 😊 I love watching your process.

I’ve been using the HP ink jet printer mine is a 5660 an older model. I think it’s time to get a new I’m doing some research I’ll keep everyone posted on what I get when I do replace my current copier. With that said the HP has served me well for at least 5 years no maintenance issues 😊

Love your videos; I've been watching since the beginning. This particular video had the light glaring very strongly off the plastic under the gel plate. It was very hard to see anything you were doing. Just mentioning it -- not criticizing. I have been a fan-girl for a very long time now! HUGS!

For some reason recently my camera isn’t making auto adjustments as it should I notice it too! But during filming in the view finder it looks correct. I guess it’s time for a new camera although they are so expensive!!! Thanks take care😊❤
