Amazing. My father's family was the Pilatos of Lime Street...my grandparents were Vincent and Rose Pilato...my father was Herbert "Pompeii" Pilato...his sisters were Fay, Alice, and Sue...his brothers were Ludwig and Anthony. My mother's family, the Turri's, lived on Erie Street. Her sisters were Amelia, Alice, Anna, Mary, and Elva. Her brothers were Joe, Adolph, Albert and Jimmy...

I love this!! It’s like a time machine!! Looking at a bygone era of fun and lives lived at the time this was filmed.

What great home movies are these! We too attended St. Francis Church is the 50's and 60's. My brother and I also attended #17 School. My family resided at 92 Grape St., from 1948 to 1960. We then moved to 807 Broad St., where we lived from 1960 to 1967. Thank you for posting these films; they certainly bring back some fond memories! My family was Italian-American also.

I grew up on Erie Street...in the redbrick homestead of my mother's family...the Turri family. My father's family, meanwhile, grew up on Lime Street.

I live in Rochester. You can google map the church wedding at St Francis Assisi on corner of Whitney and orange. It's at 81 Whitney. The area is called Dutch town. You will see a lot of homes of that style. Look hard you may find specific houses.

I got on the computer tonight to see if I could find some pictures or movies of my Grandparents, the Brennan's. Came from Ireland in the 20's through Elise. My grandfather passed away in the 30's from pneumonia, so I never knew him. Nor did my Mother. It would be nice to find a few seconds of film. He worked for New York Central system.

This is the neighborhood that I grew up in and the church that I attended during the 1950's and 1960's. M any ,many fond memories growing up in Dutchtown during this time period. I don't recognize the last name of the couple being married.

The church at Whitney and Orange is still there, but the statue of St. Francis above the doorway is missing. He probably went to a better neighborhood as most did.
