Adrian Belew is great! He also did stunning work with Bowie, Talking Heads and Frank Zappa. A real guitar magician. If you want to see his live persona, look up Crimson's "Live in Frejus" from 1982 I think (and also be astounded by the monumental Bill Bruford, my favourite drummer, the incomparable bassist Tony Levin, and His Bobness (not that one)).

Hi 👋 Bryer. You fell off the radar for a period of time. I didnt think you would stop presenting your channel. I like Young Americans , and later Station to Station and Heroes by Bowie. I saw him in concert in 1978. I think i have mentioned that before. The only song i liked by Johnny Cash is Ring of Fire. Bryer all those beeps , blocking out those swear words. Shock , horror !. I like Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five's rap music from the early 1980s. You might like to check them out . Anyway whatever floats your boat . Its great that you are trying out different musicians.

Young Americans is my favorite album with David Bowie bought it when it came out back in the 70's

Ahhh man, Cash's Hurt, I still can't listen to this after a decade. My son (RIP) and I used to have sessions where we'd sit down and fling tracks at each other, trying to outscore each other with a "well, you got that, well just listen to this" thing. A big battle was over "Hurt: Cash or Reznor?" I was totally in the Cash camp, he was in the Reznor camp, and we'd try to convert each other. After he passed away, this was one of the touchstone songs I could not cope with hearing. I managed to make it thru Reznor last year, but the thought of putting on the Cash version is still no way. I'm typing this thru bleary eyes. Cash's version is so good tho, it's a masterpiece in interpretation. I grew up with him on the radio all the time, and he had respect even from teenagers, he was just so honest.

Cool you bought a Johnny Cash album. Haven't heard American IV yet, but I'm slowly going through the Johnny Cash series with Nick, and it's coming soon. Other Cash albums I recommend based on what I've listened to so far include The Fabulous Johnny Cash, With His Hot and Blue Guitar, Ride This Train, The Sound of Johnny Cash, Blood Sweat and Tears, Ring of Fire, and (if you can find it) Bitter Tears: Ballads of the American Indian.

Nice video. I’ve only actually heard one of the albums from your purchases this month, The Who Magic Bus, which is not one of my favorites of theirs. I only got one CD this month and one digital purchase I got fanny live from the beat club in 71 which is excellent and then I got the digital version of Fragile (Super Deluxe) because I refused to pay for the vinyl that I don’t want. The bonus material is good on it, but not worth all the extra money.

I originally bought the Cinderella on cassette back in the day. It's a great bluesy album. Tom Keifer is under- rated.

I could never get into Spirit. They're very much of that 1960s US psych/garage rock sound like the Doors and Jefferson Airplane. I heard about them the same way you did but they don't sound like Led Zeppelin at all. I guess when I first checked them out I was expecting more a heavy American blues rock band like Cactus or Mountain but they're more psych and experimental than that.

I like getting the multiple shoutouts. For me that was one of the Kinks weaker albums. I gave it a 7/10. Better Things was my favorite song. Other lists don’t matter except for mine Bryer. Just kidding.
