Hello Bryer. I was listening to Elton John last night. I know you like him and recently showcased his album Caribou. I put on his album Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy from 1975. I'm not sure if you have it , but if not I highly recommend it. I bought it on vinyl that year , and I own a cd of it now. It has three bonus tracks on it , one being a cover of the Beatles song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. That song topped the USA Billboard charts in early 1975. I love listening to it still. I was playing it loud. I look forward to your tier list video soon.

@@BryersMusicShowcase The first 2 APP is for me the very best, but "Turn...." is also stellar, just not as progressive. PS Compare the debut with the original mix VS 1987 remix, fun stuff !!!! Starcastle is a good band even if they are seen as a Yes-Clone type band, but there are MANY of them (Druid, Father Robin, Wobbler comes to mind) Rock On !
@BryersMusicShowcase
@BryersMusicShowcase 3 күн бұрын
Yeah, I have heard both versions of APP’s debut. Both good for different reasons! Glad you like Starcastle as well. 😄

Hi 👋 Bryer. The song Time by Alan Parsons Project is so beautiful. I remember it being played on the radio in 1980 , and I felt emotional. A song suitable for a funeral. Touch Me by the Doors I love. That song gave me the goosebumps in a good way back in 1969 when I first heard it. Touch me babe can't you see that I am not afraid . I was upset when I heard about Jim Morrison's death in 1971. I like the song True Blue by Madonna, she put out good pop music. The video clip for that song is cool on youtube. I like the Japanese girl group Shonen Knife , they were popular back in the 1980s/ 90s. They are still together performing. Check them out. I like Poco , their song from 1977 titled Indian Summer is excellent. I owned the X T C album Drums & Wires on vinyl back in 1979. They were classed as New Wave. I like their quirky sound. The single Making Plans for Nigel charted well here in New Zealand. Their format changed in the 1980s but I still liked them. You look tired Bryer , you must be busy. Give yourself some rest. Take it easy .

I realized that I might have STILL given the wrong order to Poco's first 5 albums... 😅 Just so we're clear, the order of release is: Pickin' Up The Pieces - 1969 Poco - 1970 From The Inside - 1971 A Good Feelin' To Know - 1972 Crazy Eyes - 1973

I saw a reviewer on Amazon also point out that this Original Classics set for Poco was released with the albums displayed on the box out of chronological order. Have to assume it was a mistake as there's no clear thematic or logical reason to do that.

Hi 👋 Bryer Congrats on reaching 2000 subscribers . Put 2000 candles on a gigantic birthday cake 🎂 and blow them out. I love the Doors. Im old enough to remember them on the radio back in the 1960s. Soft Parade is an excellent album. Wow Deep Purple singing in Japanese. Only kidding. Duran Duran are on youtube at the Montreux Jazz Festival 2024. Check them out if you like. They sing one of my favorite songs of theirs titled Say a Prayer , and also their James Bond 007 song from the 1980s movie View to a Kill. Tĥat record store looks groovy . I like Thim Lizzy , they were such a cool group back in the 1970s. My favorite song of theirs is Dancing in the Moonlight from 1977. I like the packaging of the Dennis Wilson cd. I remember hearing about his tragic death in the early 1980s. Look forward to your next video.

I love early Supertramp, first one is kinda Trespass meets In the Court of the Crimson King, Indelible Stamped is more bluesy like Davies only can compose ! (And congrats, both seems to be pre mastering-crush edition (1997 Remasters) So these should sound as good as the LP editions !!)
