There’s not good entertainment like this today. Talented people. Didn’t know Rock could sing and dance. Fantastic ♥️♥️♥️♥️

One of the best show I've ever seen. Carol Burnett 85 years old today. The show with Rock Hudson performed for more than 40 years. Just great.

(guest) Thank goodness for You Tube ! I am 71, in u.k., had heard of Carol Burnett, but hadn't seen these excellent shows when they were current : it was decades before I got my own t.v. ! Got this " tablet" a few years ago, and have loved exploring the many shows that were on t.v., and the vast amount of interest on just about any subject on earth, available on " the Net". I've been able to catch up with those very entertaining old t.v. shows like Andy Williams, Dean Martin, Perry Como, and as here, the wonderful Carol Burnett, with her great supporting performers, and exciting guest stars .☺. But also, just look at the dance routines : the company are so agile and well rehearsed : beautiful costumes, the dances are imaginative, colourful and quite complicated , so much better than the jerky pop stuff that passes for "dance" nowadays.... I really appreciate the skill that those people displayed, the fact that we can see it all here any time, and the way they all worked so well together. You're never disappointed ! ☺. So , even though I missed most of them at the time, it's been SO interesting to catch up now ! I don't watch much current t.v., as it has so much nastiness, crassness, violence, crudity, and panders so much now to the " lowest common denominator ". I just love to find " new" shows here ! Thank you SO much ! 🌷☺🌷☺🌷

The great years of Hollywood television. Can't replace what they gave us in terms of entertainment and why would we want to replace what was the best?

If you are Harvey Korman's child, that's great! I'm not one of those weirdo, celebrity hounds. I give people plenty of room. Don't press for photos, autographs, or anything else for that matter. Your privacy is just as important to me, as it is to you.

Yes, harv had a great set of pipes . I never understood why he never how great he was. He never thought of himself as a dramatic actor when he did so great Shakespeare . He never thought he was a good singer and he was .

My dear KZfaqrs, you are in for a real treat here, with the many Tunes of Jules Styne as featured here in such a short amount of time, and featuring the Singing voices of Carol Burnette, Steve Lawrence ***and Who knew that ROCK HUDSON could actually Sing like this, and as good as this...WOW !!! Thank You to Jennifer Evans for this posting !!!

Take Your Seats, as I understand it, Rock Hudson was seeking to be in a stage musical like “La Cage Aux Folles,” and “sort of” come out, but he developed AIDS and the rest is history.

Rock Hudson is good in this clip, but the shorter guy with light brown curly hair is (I think for sure) is Steve Lawrence (born Sidney Liebowitz; July 8, 1935) who - along with his wife of like a million years Edie Gormet - made a dynamic duo who over the career of each outshone Hudson in every conceivable way. Most importantly was the lifelong devotion the two had for each other. They performed together for over 50 years in all sorts of venues - movies, stage, TV, Las Vegas show highlights - always faithful to each other 'til Edie's death in 2013 - from unknown causes. While Hudson's life spoke so much about the glitz and gilded (but faded) side of Hollywood, Lawrence (who is now in his 90s) had a life of patriotism, faith and service to mankind.

Rose White, I remember SNL doing a parody of “Firing Line” with John McGloughlin, and they would parody the ending when he would ask each talking head’s snap prediction on some issue and the McGloughlin character would always call on “Steve and Edie.” I think I was the only one in the country who got the joke.
