Here's the second part of Rock Junction 2023, this was the opening of the new trail near Grand Junction Colorado called Pinch Point. It is a side route off the popular Billings Canyon Jeep Trail. It is a pretty insane climb. Also an interview with Jeff Bates, the President of the Grand Mesa Jeep Club that helps maintain and open new trails in the Grand Junction area. After the opening of the new trail we decided to finish the day out by running the Billings Trail and had alot of fun and even assisted with a recovery along the way. Amazing leadership by Jeff. Instead complaining about the "man" and how a little toad would close the trail he found a way to both keep the trail open and perform some pretty phenomenal environmental stewardship.

yep, when you realize that somebody is trying to do the right thing but might be a little misguided as to the execution. Buy in, you never know. Jeff's "no, seriously" was spot on. Need more people like Jeff!

This is my favorite Channel. I Love Rory and his Team for being normal, showing skill (without showing off) and being humble human beings. I think it was great showing that you know your limits. For everyone to see that even with your wheeling experience, there are times to "call it" and say this ain't happening today. Great video! Always amazed to see the obstacles that you are able to finesse trailmater over and through.

I know Rory said he was gonna call it and quit on that first obstacle but that was 100% a win, he did a 180 and turned that buggy around in a very tiny, rocky, savage of a hilly spot! WOW I would love to see him rear steer the buggy

Going wheeling with Rory is definitely a double-edged sword. You had to work hard to get your dedicated trail rig up a tough obstacle. It wasn't easy but after a couple of tries, you make it. Yipee, you are elated and celebrate the victory. But wait, Rory and his street-legal dually square-body wrecker make it up in one try and make it look easy.

Well these trails are certainly different to the moab ones. I'm impressed with the off road community helping toads and looking after the areas with trails, because it's a win win for everyone in the short and long term 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The guy at 5:09 "thank you!" 😂😂😂

I had the privilege to stop in late yesterday afternoon (6/19). Trail Mater was the reason I started watching these off-road videos and on our vacation from Minnesota, I suggested Moab because the scenery you guys show is unreal. I caught Shawn helping a customer and took a quick selfie, then went over to Trail Mater. Somehow, he’s smaller in real life than I imagined, but so cool to see it up close. This morning, we took an Xtreme 4x4 through Hell’s Revenge. The videos don’t do it justice, neither the beauty nor the insanity. Escalator is wild, Elevator is just mind blowingly scary! Keep up the great work and content guys!

Some incredible machines and drivers, but that "trail" is a killer! Maybe a good coat of grease would help for those tight spots LOL! Not a trail for the faint hearted that's for sure. Still the old Trailmater got to do some of what it does best. Sometimes I think Rory gets that machine over some spots by sheer force of will.
