Well, you are partly right. The drummer here was Kai Hahto, the current drummer of Nightwish. And Jukka Koskinen, that bass player, is currently in Nightwish, too. He stepped in after Marko quit. He did his first appearance with the band on those virtual shows Nightwish had at the end of May. The Jukka that you were talking about is Jukka Nevalainen.

Jukka, the original drummer from Nigthwish asked his good friend (and drum tech, and sometime technique teacher) Kai to replace him when he had to step down due to health issues (insomnia) . Jukka, the bass player from Wintersun, is currently engaged hss the session bass player for Nightwish coming tour - and is replacing Marko who left NW earlier this year. Jari, Wintersuns lead singer, multi- instrumentalist and composer has only 1 lung - pretty amazing how he can sing like this. When he started Wintersun, he asked Kai to play the drum as this was one of the few instrument he could not play himself. I believe Teemu (lead guitarist with the green guitar) and Jukka (bass player) to join later before going on tour.

He posted once on FB "As some of you may know, I had a lung operation when I was in my early twenties and I lost 1/4 of my lungs. So touring has been hard for me. Dropping the guitar will make performing easier for me, which means we can do more touring and that's what we want to do." so not only 1 lung as you said, but 1 and 3/4 lungs left.

Jari Mäenpää, the lead guitarist and singer, is for Wintersun, what is Tuomas for Nightwish. A great composer, a poet, the man behind everything, Fan Fact: He is missing a third of his right lung due to tuberculosis he suffered back in 1997 while he was in the army.

Mäenpää and Holopainen are actually longtime friends as well. Tuomas always thanked Jari in the liner notes in the first several albums. Its why I'm sure there is no animosity over Nightwish now having 2 members of Wintersun. Jari has surrounded himself with some of the best players in the world and he really seems like a great guy and keeps a good humor about things.

@@erikrandan7294 Jari is a super egotistical asshole with a god complex, genuinely when it comes to creating his works he is a flamboyant asshole and has extreme amounts a demands from his record labels. not taking anything away from his works but Jari as a person isnt all that great.

@@jaydenbell4975 Ususally record labels are the asshole ones ruining most of the music by making it super commercial as they don't understand music but only selling it. Record labels are the reason musicians have to have 3 different job in addition to making music to be able to live. If Jari wasn't stubborn, demanding and obsessive they would not have one single epic songs but mediocore crap instead.

@@gredulous2444 that just shows me you haven't researched this particular stupidity that is Jari in conjunction with my prior comment. I'll give you one simple example as to how much of an asshole he was and is to the record label... he was contracted to make a select amount of music and many years had gone by without him putting out any music for the record label, if my memory serves me it was roughly 3 years or more, and he made many many demands amongst those demands was an ultimatum that he would start making his music if he was to get a sauna built as an add on to his studio. For him to make his contractually obligated music he forced them to build him a sauna.

@@jaydenbell4975 …there are hundreds of thousands other bands out, why are you going behind Wintersun and Jari? Someone forced you with the pistol to your head? If you don’t like them (the band) and him (Jari) as a mastermind behind all their music, you have countless other choices…

Different Jukka 😂 Kai is playing drums for Nightwish now. Jukka Koskinen is the new bass player for Nightwish also. Wintersun is an amazing band 🤘

Kai Hahto is the recent drummer for Nightwish as he first stepped in temporarily for Jukka (the one that sits very low behind the set) to finally in 2019 become a permanent drummer for the band after Jukka officially confirmed he won't be going back to playing. Jukka Koskinen over here is also in Nightwish as a temporary (at the moment) bass player after Marko Hietala took this year off (yes, I still believe he's coming back) due to severe depression and exhaustion. As I've heard many times by now, the new name for the band is WINTERWISH!

Lol different Jukka. This Jukka is a bassist, who ironically is currently filling Bass duties for Nightwish, and yes, this is the same Kai from Nightwish😆

The lead singer is new Marco for Nightwish Marko retired excited to see the new lineup live in March. Love you Nightwish Army lol no matter the lineup change we are always down and like hey that will be cool old songs with a new sound attitude. They are from Wintersun to Nightwish Wintersun is a Nightwish Associated act. They are part of the Nightwish Army is huge and encompasses many bands including Epica.

Most people said it. Kai is the current NW drummer and Jukka Koskinen the new session bassplayer. Wintersun is quite different than NW! It's a mix of melodic death, black and Folk Metal. "Time" and "Land of Snow and Sorrow" are amazin Metalcompositions as well. But I would be so thrilled if more people would react to the "Forest Seasons". I am a Wintersunfan since 2006 and Jari is a Mastermind.

Jukka is a common Finnish name, Kai is the current drummer for Nightwish, and now this Jukka is the session bassist with them. The lead vocalist Jari is the mastermind of the whole thing, another musical genius like Tuomas.

Lets note the fact that lead singer Jari lost a big part of his lung volume because of toberculosis. Also he was main singer in another finish metal band called Ensiferum.

Well, another long one for you (and I'm sure you gonna like it) and I hope you can find the time to react to a TOP LINEUP OF MANY MUSICAL INTRUMENTS/SINGERS: The Source is the 9th studio album from *AYREON* , a progressive metal/rock opera project by Dutch musician Arjen (Ahr-Yun) Anthony Lucassen, released on April 28, 2017. *_”The Day That The World Breaks Down”_* is a song that features all 11 (quite well known) main guest singers (you’ll be surprised) and is taken from that album. Arjen himself is telling (in subtitles) who the singers are and which instruments are used and by which standards. Btw. This creative original clip is 13 min. long and I think you won’t regret it !! Kai who plays for Wintersun replaced Jukka in Nightwish in the drums. And then, other Jukka (bassist) from Wintersun replaced Marko in NW, but he will be only a session musician for the upcoming tour Anyway, this band is amazing, does more extreme kind of metal than NW, falling in the 'melodic death' category but they kinda share a similar epic atmosphere with the synths. Check out 'Time' and 'Land of Snow and Sorrow' from the same series of live rehearsal videos, absolutely fantastic stuff

You were so close lol. Kai here drumming replaced Jukka on drums and is in the live shows from after the Wacken show (Buenos Aires and Wembley mostly). But also the Jukka here is the bassist who just recently was announced to be Marcos replacement at least for the upcoming tour.

If you would like to react to great growling and be amazed how the same singer has such a velvety clean singing please react to Amorphis. They also come from Finland. Good choise to react first is The Bee

What if Wintersun becomes nightwish. That would be hybrid of the year. Band name could be winterwish or nightsun. 😎

Welll, due to the fact that Jari (Lead singer and Lead/rhytmguitar) is the mastermind behind everything composingwise and recordingwise of Wintersun, there´s not so much to do for the other guys xD. And Nightwish was longing for a new drummer..so they asked Kai (as u can see here for a very good reason)..after Marko left do make his own thing for a while they where longing for a new bassist..and whom else would Kai suggest then Jukka. Temmu is busy with Guitar teachings atm..but if needed we may find all Wintersun members besides Jari playing partly for Nightwish in the end....until Jari calls out for his new album to go on Tour..at least i hope all of them are back then to back him up.

This is not a coherent song. It's the showcase of wonderful talents of all involved. Is the song better when Kai Hahto sweats more? Maybe not. They could sent him to Marathon race and measure his sweat then. Great and talented musicians, but too technical songwriting. 😎👍
