Have you taken a break from social media? What was your experience?

Good for you with your "detox" plan. As an older generation, I have only ever had my phone for calls and texts, plus I've recently added WhatsApp to save costs. So I rarely look at it, unless it "calls" me. I stick to my iPad for fb and messenger as and when it suits me, plus a few word games. It rather annoys me that there are so many inbuilt apps that have no relevance to my life style whatsoever. Keep it up. I am totally blown away by the beauty of this finished gown and shoes. Your imagination knows no bounds. Now you've got me all keyed up for the upcoming silver gown, too!

As an empath I find it extremely difficult to be a part of society because of the media fuelled ignorant race and religious hate and prejudice that is spreading like an uncontainable virus, I’m constantly asking myself how people can be so mindless and not fact check their propaganda. I pulled back from social media 6 months ago and even though I felt better for it my business suffered as I got social media anxiety whenever I went to post and in the end I wouldn’t post at all, funny enough I made my first posts in 6 months on Instagram and my business page today. It’s hard to navigate social media right now, I hope you find a happy balance 🤗

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not alone in feeling this way with social media. It's a hard balance to find when you need to use it for business. I've kept my pages manager app and Instagram on my phone so that I can keep up with business posts. I'm still loving Instagram as I follow people who inspire me and seeing beautiful things on there every day makes me happy. I just never read any comments! I'm a week and half into my 'detox' now and I haven't even been tempted to check my Facebook timeline. A friend recently suggested that I read 'The Empath's survival Guide'. I'm only a couple of chapters in but it's making so much sense to me already. Hope you're finding a balance as well since posting again. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment.
