8 жыл бұрынEmory Motorsports was chosen by Cameron Healy to perform the restoration because of our record of achievement with other notable Porsche race cars. Because this is perhaps the most important competition 356 in the pantheon of Porsche racing, this project is especially rewarding for us.
The bare-metal reveal of this Gmund SL at Rennsport Reunion V as part of Porsche's Legends of Le Mans display was better than we could have imagined. We were also very pleased that the car was included on the front row of this year's Porsche family photo.

Hugely interesting film about a hugely important Porsche. By bringing Rod in to complete the work was absolutely the right choice - bringing that level of integrity in to the build is something we should all respect. Hopefully we'll get to see the car compete again. Classic Le Mans 2016?

Glad to see you are using hearing protection. BTW, I see TIG. It would have been gas welded in 1951. Did you consider gas welding?
