THIS is car porn! So slippery and smooth. It looks very organic and flowing. There might be many generations of the 356 and up to the 911, but the beginnings were the best!

It's basically a VW. Ferdinand Porsche developed the Type 1 KDF (VW) first, then made the car bearing his name that you see here using the same mechanical design and some parts from the beetle :)

Ferdinand did not make the 356. It might have been his dream, but it was Ferry's work. And Erwin Kommenda, and others in Gmund in 1948. Ferdinand was in French prison (also his son in law, Anton Piech) all of 1946 and most of 1947.
