Balatro is a poker roguelike deck building game centered around creating powerful synergies and winning with big hands. In it, you can combine valid poker hands with unique Jokers in order to create varied synergies and builds. Earn enough chips to beat blinds, including challenging boss blinds, to make it to the next ante and progress your run!

One of my favorite things to do is just have a funny chips build on plasma. This was stupid entertaining. Maybe via mods or game changes we will one day get a way to multiply chips and can scale it for end game 👀

Since you have that one mod of custom decks, I have a Deck Idea: “WHOOPS! ALL 2s!” Standard 52 card deck but you start out with a Eternal Wee Joker. Have fun!

Super sick run, I really wish we could have seen what would have happened if he had taken that seltzer or either of the 2 dusks he got offered. Probably not too much farther, but would have scaled a little better

i think one of the problems was that hiker doesn't work well with adding new cards, because the value is added to the cards already played. you want more hanging and less boosters

It's bad for the deck he's using (Plasma). Because Plasma's Drawback is ante scaling is greatly increased because the deck's ability of balancing chips and mult makes it score higher, so Plasma has a really easy early ante.

If you have jokers that scale off of cards played then you want to trigger that scaling as many times as possible rather than clearing the blind as early as possible. If you don't scale as hard as you possibly can you're more likely to lose.

The way hiker works is that it permanently modifies each card that is scored to score for +4 chips. This buff can stack. High scores early means that he can only play one hand per blind, so he can only buff 5 cards each blind. If he could actually play out all of his hands, he could buff 20 cards instead. Generally high point values early on are good because they let you win in less hands and earn extra money from your unused hands. It’s in the specific situation of having a card like hiker that makes it a bad thing.

Endless mode, you might want to focus on finding the most hiked cards, deathing it and hangmanning others. Use up all dscards to find the most buffed and let it contaminate the deck.

How does Plasma Deck's balancing work? Does it take the average of Chips and Mult and round down?

Adds chips and mult together. Divides by 2. Puts that value for chips and mult, then scores.

He has like no mult. Plasma doesn't work that way. The flat mult would be multiplied by 2 then added to chips

Just got a run with plasma where i got a stuntman after the first blind, and then got matador from a pack. The boss was the psychic, so i played less than 4 cards first to get some extra cash, only to play 4 cards on my last hand 🥲
