I ended up buying the onexgpu. I'm really excited to use it with my aokzoe a1 pro and my legion go pro. Being able to boost the graphics that much being handled seems really awesome.

@@chrisrobinson3494 you might have missed a portion of the video. It seems that any models R8 and up have a different board. Obviously time will tell if they hold up long term, but recent RMAs will have the new board installed.

On the Go, since my last update the sleep mode on settings for Legion Space no longer work. I have to go to the windows settings.

It seems like the AMD Adrenalin Edition 23.12.1 update is not compatible with the ROG Ally... It didn't even show up in the ASUS app so... hmm. Where did you get your update from?

The amd 23.12.1 is for the 7840 devices. You can force install on the ally as well. The rog ally updates I discussed were: armoury crate, and a bios update

I want to love the legion go so much but the weight, the dead zones and the fact i have to down scale so much on such a beautiful screen makes no sense rather hang at 1080p and be stable with more consistency on the rog ally also the terrible speakers are rough

You really don’t have to downscale if you’re okay with low/medium graphics at native res. I’ve played Hogwarts Legacy, Starfield, Cyberpunk 2077 like this @ 30 FPS. EDIT: 6 GB VRAM and 20 GB swap file (this really doesn’t help much, just placebo)

Remember that you aren't forced to play only the latest 150.GB +/- games on a handheld. In fact even most gaming PC's struggle with 2K/60 on Ultra settings on newer games too and those cost a lot more than Lenovo Go. The problem is that most newest games isn't well optimized for any PC or Console. There is older games that runs 60 FPS at 1600P. I completed Sniper Elite 3 / FPS on Legion Go and it worked without fine any Deadzone fix. As Pulse mentions here. Lower settings is fine on a small screen. Go have a big screen, but it's still a very small screen compared to a TV or Monitor. Anyway. Majority of my installed games on Lenovo is less than 10.GB in size, but i do have big games like Borderlands 3 and others installed too.

@@LanceVanceEso I bought Lenovo Go on day 1 knowing USB-C SSD were unstable, but i knew it would be fixed and it already is. Lenovo releases a new roadmap every Friday so people are always up to date on what happens on next updates.

Debating for days if i should buy a rog or legion.. But that the rog frys sd cards is just a dealbreaker .. Than you have the legion with Hall Effect Sticks , bigger Screen and a working sd card slot. What should i do.

Depends what’s important to you in a device. Out of the two my preference is the Go, but I also don’t mind larger devices, and have alternative small devices to the ally that I use instead when wanting a small device.

Lenovo Go have same APU, but have faster RAM than Rog Ally. Last week Lenovo fixed the USB-C SSD bug in a BIOS update. Unlike on Rog Ally, Carry case is included and Lenovo Go don't force you to use a dock as it has a secondary USB-C port. There is probably 10 reasons why i bought Lenovo over Rog Ally. Lenovo also releases a roadmap for BIOS and Lenovo Space updates every Friday.

Can’t fix hardware with software unfortunately. If you RMA it, it seems they have the new boards out now that will work. Also any model R8 and up have the fix, so it should be good moving forward.

its caused by heat on the sd card reader, cant fix it with software even though they added the annoying minimum fan limit

@@TVCHLORD sort of. I have never used turbo mode and have fans at 100% at 70c and it’s still beginning to have an issue on Ally 3. It seems it’s an issue potentially with the soldering

@@okestgamer thnx for reply. Actually i was confused between Ally and legion go. The sd card issue in ally was deal breaker for me because our country doesn't have official Asus support, on the other hand, legion go does not have VRR screen which is a must have for smooth experience.
