Last time they fought/sized each other up coby told luffy "your AS strong (not stronger) as i thought you'd be" meaning there's nothing luffy can do that would surprise coby. Cobys seen luffys powers he taken his punches and Both r trained by garp. Cobys also mastered all rokushiki techniques like rob lucci. id like to see cobys Rokuogun.

So heres the thing about that, if you notice Brooke never talks about the past without prompting, like with Roger and the Vinesmokes. So he probably did hear about Rocks but it never been mentioned around him so he doesn't say anything, after all Luffy wouldnt give a shit so Brooke has no reason to bring it up.

@@onepieceking1770 If you think about it 38 years ago Garp was 40 Sengoku 41 and Whitebeard 36 so they were not young I think Rocks could be not older than 50 . Maybe he was the same age as Sengoku . Roger was 39 because Oda said he would be 77 in the current Storyline after the Timeskip.

I am pretty sure Brook has heard of rocks, due to the fact that it is said to have been Rooks Era before Roger came and defeated him. And Brook knew Roger as a rookie, so we can assume that Brook was a pirate during the era of rocks.

I like to think that Garp's Narcolepsy actually started out as a ruse to allow Roger to escape marine capture during situations where Roger helped saved an island from a worse pirate (ala Luffy and Crocodile, or Luffy and Doflamingo), much like Fujitora used the "we will let fate decide" excuse at the end of Dressrosa.

Thats just stupid. After Rogers Crew sailed away from Laughtale he said that they were to early. That can only mean that the One Piece is something that had to be evolved or somewhat has to ripe something like that. But the more interesting thing is that the Roger Crew knew that they were to early. That can only mean that the One Piece is something that people generelly somewhat know, since you can't say you arrived to early without knowing that in fact you were to early.

Wild Mass Guessing on what Roger brought to the table in a team up with Garp. He probably had Haki lasers, Flew around, some Rogery Asura, A Stand out of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, a Susanoo out of Naruto, Sword beams, probably punched while holding his sword ala Luffy, pistol whipped Rocks, yeeted Garp at Rocks at least five times, threw his gun at Rock when he ran out of ammo, probably slapped Rocks, eye jab, shoulder check, pulled out some wrestling moves, Kick Martial Arts that put Sanji to shame, Rokushiki... maybe a two finger Rokuogan... maybe cast with his moustache hairs, ....probably bite Rocks at least once.

The problem with seeing Koby as Luffy's "hunter" is that, so far, Koby has NEVER been shown chasing after Luffy. Unlike Smoker who even asked to be transfered to the New World and has already met the -3D- 2Y Straw Hat crew! that's why I think Smoker is more suited to be the new "Garp", at least in that example...

Smoker and Drake are the only young Marines that scale in strength with Pirate Supernova. Koby seems well behind in his development as a fighter. Also Smoker's attitude to Luffy is more inline with Garp's to Roger. Koby is Luffy fanboy since day one.

No Marine would doubt a high ranking strong Marine like Garp raising a child, but they would have hunted every child related to any member of Roger Pirates, especially his First Mate. So placing Ace in Garp's care was good decision.

Honestly Roger could have told Garp what the One Piece is, I’ve had that theory for awhile. Whatever it is it’s going to change the world and Roger might have warned Garp about it before he died. That could also play into the creation of Sword if Garp and Sengoku are the ones in charge of it..lots to think about

It also makes sense that Koby is more like Garp because neither have devil fruits, are strong af and genuinely very kind to everyone. Smoker fits more the role that Sengoku had. So it would be perfect to have Smoker become a future Fleet Admiral and Koby a normal Admiral
