I know this is an old comment but we may be in luck to see more of K-2 thanks to the Andor series! Though apparently we won’t see him in season 1.

Alan Tudyk is simply one of the greatest talents most people barely notice. He is just so perfect when it comes to giving seriously unserious characters life. May he always find work where he seeks it, because he deserves it.

This makes two movies now, where Alan plays a robot, and steals the show! iRobot and this! I love Rogue One, and K-2SO was such an amazing bonus! I have never really shed tears for a robot before, and it happened in a Star Wars movie, of all things, and it was amazing!

Dude, he was also in that obscure Nicktoons show called Robot and Monster where he voiced the schizophrenic family member of the Defaults, who's named Crazy Cousin Gizmo.

You might want to check out The Iron Giant and Mass Effect, then. Both the ending scene of Iron Giant and the Rannoch mission in Mass Effect 3 are exquisite tearjerkers, I can tell you that much.

Sadly agree. I know not everyone does, but K2 is one of the best characters in the SW Universe in my opinion, Rogue One was great.

I love K2SO, but what is he? Where are more of his kind? Why are there only K2s in this movie? The rebellion and resistance need droids so why are there no reused imperial droids?

It’s a security droid. There are several asteomech droids as well. There’s also medical droids and a farm droid.

i enjoyed rogue one up until the point this annoying robot turns up, shame i feel if that robot was not in the film it would be one of the greatest star wars films around.
