Great video on the Rhino. I really like the hamstring curl and will have to include that in my routine. I have the Rhino drop in with my RM3 and the cable seems much shorter than yours when the weight is racked on the horn. I ended up with a 8" carabiner extension which seems to work well for me.

Thanks so much! I am in the garage looking at the Rhino now. I have the horn locked into the highest setting on the short middle upright and I have 13” of cable between the platform and bolt that connects the cable to the carabiner.

The Rogue Rhino looks fantastic and definitely something I considered. But I recently got the Bells of Steel Belt Squat machine instead which was easier on my budget and kept my wife from being too upset. So far very happy with it. It's heavy duty and smooth. Really seems to hit my quads the most. Probably best I never tried the Rogue Rhino as I am sure I would have fallen in love with it.

I looked at all of the Belt Squats before buying the Rhino and It was very difficult to get over the price tag. I strongly considered the BOS that you have, but it was sold out when I got the Rhino.

I have been looking at the BOS recently. Hard to justify the rhino price. Do you feel much forward pull with the BOS machine?
@clarkg5946
@clarkg5946 2 жыл бұрын
@@craigfern2741 I would say more so at first when I was just using a carabiner to attach to the machine. Then I added a little chain which seemed to help reduce forward pull and allowed me to sit back more. I have the weight horns facing up so even with a chain adding some length I can still hit depth. I would say there probably is still a tad forward pull but not too bad.

@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Great to know, thank you! For many years of training I thoughtlessly went with 3 sets of 10-12 for all workouts and called it a day. Lately I have been incorporating warm-up sets and "work" sets (at least I think they are work sets - still trying to gauge the appropriate level of intensity) and I am enjoying the workouts a ton but find what used to easily be a 45-minute workout now easily pushes past the hour mark! I will check out your HIT series.

Great video! Curious, is there a reason you did not do some RDL work on the Rhino? I am considering getting one. I keep bouncing back from the Rhino and a Selectorized leg ext/curl machine. I am a senior and just not sure which one would have the greatest benefit. Any advice.
@HomeGymHacksandReviews

@@RobertMiller-sh7gb thank you. I can’t do RDLs or any similar movements because of my lower back. That’s a tough call. I have some videos ranking my equipment, and when I had the Rhino, it was my Number 1 piece. It’s very versatile and you can do a lot of exercises on it…I have 3 or 4 more Rhino videos if you want to check them out. However, as a senior, I can see a selectorized leg ext / curl being appealing too. If possible, I would find a gym that has a Rhino and give it a try…some people don’t like the machine because I’ve heard people say the belt hurts their thighs and hips.

Debating between all in one functional trainner ( force usa, brute force, french fintness) or getting the rogue monster rhino belt squat + rack.. it looks like I can do all kinds of stuff with rhino belt squat. I have 2 buldging disk in lower back so this will be good. Also looking at the rep fit with ares and their belt squat attachment. Anyways I would like to know how to bench press with rhino platform in the way?? It looks like it will get in the way of the bench??
@HomeGymHacksandReviews
@HomeGymHacksandReviews 2 жыл бұрын
That’s a tough call. However, I am not impressed with the Rep belt squat. You are going to be able to get more exercises out of a functional trainer, but The Rhino is my favorite machine. I can’t remember if you’ve seen it, but you may want to check out my video, My Top 6 Pieces of Home Gym Equipment. If you get the Rhino and Rack Combo, you will need to bench and perform barbell movements outside of the rack.

yea I was thinking about getting the rhino belt squat plus rack..the rack it's 24" but it looks like there is only about 4-5 inches of space from the front uprights ato the rhino platform on floor..i don't see how I can do incline, decline using a bench outside of rack? Right now I have a prx wall rack and when I do decline and incline bench I have to move the bench back about 13 inches so I can bench..I don't think I will be able to bench outside this rack with rhino built in to it:( I emailed rogue and they said that not even the 30" rack will work with a bench outside since it only has about 6-9 inches of space in the front:( so I don't know what they ment by me been able to lift outside of rack without a bench. Lol.. Iam I supoused to bench, incline, decline standing up without bench. Lol I don't know what's the purpose of them selling it with rack if I can't really use rack not even outside of it?

@HomeGymHacksandReviews

Rogue’s equipment is more robust, which you definitely pay for. Also, at the moment, Powertec doesn’t have a belt squat so Rogue stands alone. With that being said, the Rogue Rhino is my favorite leg machine. However, I really like Powertec’s compact leg sled and Rogue doesn’t have anything like it. Also, Rogue’s Leg Press is extremely expensive and I’ve never had a chance to use it.
