Featuring the MESBG has sparked my interest for this channel again! In case someone who this might concern still reads this here, just a few notes regarding rules for the next game: -Basic Rohan Warriors have lower fight value than Uruk-Hai -A hero who declares a heroic move has to move first and all models who are in range must end their move in range -Difficult terrain quarters the movement of cavalry and they don't get any charge boni while inside the terrain -technically channeling has to be called at the very start of the move phase before anyone has moved. -If an infantry model joins another infantry that is charged by a cavalry model both will be knocked prone if they lose the fight (around 1:02:30) -When wounding prone models you cannot assign every dice individually. The 2nd dice that comes with the target being prone has to target the same model that the original attack targets. So it's not 6 attacks to be assigned freely but 2 attacks + 2 attacks + 2 attacks (around 1:09:40). Maybe this was clear but you started by throwing 3 dice, an odd number. It would've made more sense to either start with 2 and see if that's enough or roll the next 2 along with it, so 4 :P -A model makes its courage test for the force being broken right before it moves. Warrior models automatically pass their test if they start their movement within 6" of a hero who has already passed their test. So after checking for Eomer he would have had to be moved first and then his stand fast aura would've been determined. The same would have had to be done with the Uruks. Courage test -> move. Next model courage test -> move a.s.o (around 1:13:20) Also it was very difficult keeping an eye on which models were Sons of Eorl. Wouldn't it have helped to seperate the profiles by the colour of their shields? Sorry, still really grateful for the batrep!

Awesome game and coverage. FYI, all models must end within 6" of the model who called the heroic move. They must start and end their move within 6". That would have changed this game dramatically, I believe. Also, where in the manual does it say that the highest fight value of a model is used for all models in a multi-combat? I don't think that's actually a thing... I can't find it anywhere (and yes, I'm looking at the most recent rule book).

If you use Gandalf the White and call it a minas tirith army then rohan and minas tirith are historical allies.

Just a friendly reminder - models that are within heroic move (6" from hero) must end their move within 6'' from hero or tehy do not move at all.

Correct me if I wrong but I don’t think the Riders of Rohan get the +1 charge bonus when fighting against larger models. So the fight with the troll you should of only rolled 5 dice, not 10.

Look at TLM.Tv there you can watch a lot of Battle Reports of Middle-Earth . The boys make a good Job.

Definitely some errors, especially on the heroic moves. Also if cavalry charges through difficult terrain it loses all charging bonuses. But for an irregularly played game not too bad. I must protest at the pronunciation though. It is Eee-ohh-mer, not aaa-o-mer. Same with Eowyn. It's representing the eo sound in Old English.

IMO deploy the troll in the middle of the shield/pike wall will be a better result I think.

So, I believe the wording for Isengard is you don’t take tests for being broken until you reach 66% casualties. But you would still be considered broken at 50%

Give your crossbowmen pikes. Then they don’t have to sit back. Deploy alittle further back so you can pepper them with arrows.
