I’ve been using Rokform products for many years and this is the first application I’m not 100% happy with. It does not point down so my phone is always slightly tilted up. This is a huge problem when the roof is off the JK bc of the glare. If it would tilt down a few more degrees or even at a 90 degree it would be better.

how does the mount & phone case hold up when off-roading? any issues with the phone falling off or shifting the viewing angle?

I have been running with the setup for over a year now with no problems. The phone has never fallen off, and the magnet still holds like it should! In my experience, The phone will stay upright in portrait mode no matter what, but I have found that it will sometimes rotate downward on rough terrain if it is in landscape mode.

Tactical JK thanks for the info. Last question for you. Are you able to utilize the wireless charging in your phone? Or do you have to take the phone out of the case? Currently trying to decide between this set up and the quadlock system.

Mike Paolucci The case on my iphone X would need to be removed. They have a new series of phone cases for the iPhones 11s and such that are wireless compatible (magnet is moved to bottom) and they have a wireless charger for the car. The only downside is that the swivel dash mount doesn’t work with the wireless charging pad, which is the reason I haven’t installed it on my jeep. And, with the magnet further down, I am not sure it it would hold on as well on rough terrain

Hey! It is definitely the best one if you don’t want a windshield mount, imo. They have a new windshield mount one that works with magsafe as well, so I am waiting for them to release a new version of the swivel dash mount with magsafe. I would definitely recommend this tho. I have used it often for the past 3 years with no issue, and am planning to buy a rokfrom case for a new phone so I can continue to use it.

@@TacticalJK nice and I have a Tacoma I should be able to put it under the vent hopefully, just got the 13 and was going back in forth with Quadlock and Rokform but I believe I’m sold thanks for the video and reply bro

No problem! I think with the new 13s you will have to have the upper magnet installed in the middle gap to use the mount right, so you won’t be able to wirelessly charge unless you remove it. Just something to note if that’s important to you! Im going to be getting the 13 clear case soon, and if they release a magsafe swivel mount i will probably make a new vid. Hope you like it!
