About Ed Diaz
Ed Diaz is a multi-instrumentalist from Houston, Texas, with over 20 years experience in music, starting at the age of 13. Ed has performed on trumpet and keyboards in many diverse styles of music. In 2001, he earned a Bachelor's of Music from the University of Texas in Arlington where he performed with the jazz orchestra. His credits include being Musical Director for the Howard Scott Band and keyboardist for WAR.
Ed was nice enough to spit out some knowledge and know-how on the Roland FA-06. Very informative video!! .

looks pretty good, but I wish they left the faders on it. It would be faster to adjust levels and organ drawbars.

Ed What are the empty Patterns for and can we Assign patterns in Keys like Korg Krome you can build a pattern an assign it in a Key for live Performances?

Can you have more sound layers in the upper part in splitmode? Are the drumpads able to choose different sound patches? I would love that in a live situation.

TVDL Music Not in a simple dual or split mode, but just open a Studio Set instead, hitting both split and dual together, and you'll have 16 parts that you can split layer and overlap all you want. And the pads have many uses, including part selection, etc. Good Luck! -Tony

Once you've created a split, press the shift key and the screen will reveal a part edit selection. Once in that area, just cursor to the right until you come to a page with octave and course tuning. Highlight the part and adjust the part accordingly.

I appreciate it and how can I save for example this split so I don't have to do that all over again? Is that possible?

Christian Guerrero Select the write button and save it in a user bank studio set. Then you can recall it as needed.
