Just the simple fact the guy was willing to go on stage and do a live role play in front of hundreds if not thousands, and know it would be SEEN in video by thousands if not millions speaks a lot about him! Kudos! Much room for improvement but most people wouldn't have the courage to ask grant cardone to do a role play with them let alone go on stage in front of such a large crowd!

Billy speaks too fast. It sounds like a sales script so I would have started zoning out after the first few sentences. He also skims over Grant's responses. Grant responds with "Excellency, I like that" and then Billy ignores it and carries on with the script. If he acknowledged what Grant said then we have a dialogue. Instead he just carries on chatting at sonic speed. I'm sure he sells a lot because it's a good script but I'm just adding my two cents into the equation. Maybe he'd get an extra sale a day just from slowing down a bit and acknowledging the caller's responses. Good luck in 2021 folks!
@Davian2075
@Davian2075 3 жыл бұрын
1. He talks so fast, its gonna be an auto hang up for me if he calls. 2. He didn't investigate enough to raise my "problem" and his offering "solution" during the call My experience: sounds firm, professional and speak at a normal pace. Plus, always personalize the conversation about your customer, their current "unseen problem" then quickly present yourself, your company and emphasize on your offering solutions and their benefits. Shoot for the meeting first, send them email for more info, then the sales comes at the meeting offering what you pitched and promise.

My take away is that call is going to be short, but not rush your words because the receiver on the other end will be engaged if they can hear you and not feel the rush in your tone. Also, be human and not be so on the scripted that it sounds automated. Congrats to that man tho, I’m sure he had a moment of fear but kept going and I am sure he learned a ton and will be even better on his calls.

Thank you for this. On the phone, my approach is the "girl next door". I definitely understand the importance of slowing down the conversation and talking in everyday terms that don't sound too salesy and while using key industry terms to gain credibility. It is a sales conversation, not a pitch. The sales rep was confident and just needed the flow to be a little more natural. You got to get them to hear you and to like you first.

One key truth which I learned from online sales expert scott spencerr, which has helped grow my dying online business to a 5 figure business in 8 months is that every customer should be approached with the idea of helping him or her solve a problem or achieve a goal, not directly selling a product or service.

I give the guy credit for getting up there but nothing after that. He has a script and won't leave it. He doesn't listen to the prospect, he's too busy getting the next part of the script out. He's not asking decent questions to get the information he needs. He's not selling the right thing. On this call he's selling an appointment, not a product. While part of the speed was probably nervousness, I think most was script fixation. I also think it's a bit silly leading with "We can increase productivity by 900% in 90 days" or 3 months when he says the sales process takes 8 months. If someone tells me I'll see results in 3 months only to tell me in the meeting it will really take a year I won't be impressed. I'd be wondering what the timeframe will be 6 months from now.
