My late father had a 1807 bark finish which i cherish now very much ! Thanks for this video ! Unfortunately they suffer severe stretch but mine is at the watch maker getting refinished ! Quite excited to get it back

Hello, great video. I'm a big fan of the Rolex Day date. Wanted to clarify that at 10:44 you mentioned the 180XX not yet having the quick date function. I believe the 180XX series was the first to come with the upgraded 3055 movement which allows for quick date setting but does not allow for the quick day function. That would come later with the 182XX with the upgraded 3155 movement to allow both quick day and date function. Regardless great overall history of the watch and all its editions. Cheers

Great history lesson. I wear my P-serial 118208 as my daily beater and TBH it looks better as the years roll by collecting scratches and pantina. Doesn't get more timeless than this watch.
