Love the affection for your mother. True sign of a gentleman. Love the cuts of sound interruption left in.. It creates a sense of actually being with you and not being presented something perfectly cut and snipped together.. Like the behind the scene bits on a DVD of a favorite movie.

Congrats on the new piece TGV, it's great to hear your story and thoughts behind your pieces. I just wanted to say, it's because of you that I got into watches 4-5 years ago and purchased a Omega Seamaster (blue) 40mm for graduating law school which has been with me since 2016 on a blue rubber strap. Each time I look at it reminds me of what it means and I just love the design of the watch. I do lust over other watches but to buy another one means I'd give less time to the Seamaster. Just know you've had a tremeandous influence over young millenials like myself to get into time pieces at whatever price point, so Thank You for sharing your passioin and putting in the time to make such great content. It works well for you because you're the type of person who looks like everyone. You could be a senators son, a salesman, a gangster, a UK grime mc, a chef or a CEO! you've got a pretty versatile look and I'm sure that daydate will go with many of your outfits no matter the occasion.

It’s clear your disheartened with not being able to share that special moment, although in reflection you are because your honest in your experience and thats genuine. I’m sure you were gutted from losing the footage. I’ve had a card go corrupt after filming a quick interview with a certain Finnish music legend. To my amazement, he immediately went out of his way to grant me a reshoot! However, as disappointed you must be for not having the chance to share that special moment, the most important thing is that it’ll always remain stored in your mind. That watch looks absolutely superb and I’m sure you will enjoy it to the fullest. Finally, I’d like to thank you for all the hard work you’ve put into this channel. Your enthusiasm for horology really is contagious. Had I not started watching your videos a couple years back, I’d still be checking the time from my phone.

I was so deeply inspired by this episode that I want to get a gold day date like yours!!!! I can feel your happiness by getting this gold day date but also felt your pain for losing the footages. I believe this gold day date could be the one to wear it when I turn 50 ( few years to get to that age...). I agree what you said you need to be certain age to pull it off to wear this day date. Anyway, I can't help to watch this episode for more than 5 times. It just can't get ride of it from my mind. It to think about this gold day date!!! When I did my photography gcse last year I did a 500+ photo shoot to find out that my card had corrupted, I found that you can send it off to data recovery places for a fairly cheap price, I’m assuming you’ve tried this but if not I’d look into it, Regards.

I'm very happy to see that you have gotten one of your grail watches to commemorate such an important moment in your life. Reading your videos title was worried something bad happened with the purchase. All I can say about the lost data is, it has happened to me with my Dslr for an anniversary, transferring the pictures everything got corrupted, I was absolutely fuming, but as my gf said, doesn't matter we had a wonderful day and we wont forget it just cause the pictures were lost. First congratulations on your grail watch, it looks fantastic and I love it, you do deserve it not only for your hard work but for all help, advice and encouragement you give the Gentry. I know how gutted you must feel about loosing the days filming, have you thought of getting that card looked at to see if you can get it recovered, there are people who can do the. If I was closer to you I would offer to look at it for you, there is a chance it might not be lost.

TGV - there are ways to recover data from an SD card or mechanical drives - don't give up.

Great vid and congrats. Sometimes formatting the card and then running recovery software can recover something which seems to be lost. It’s worked a few times for cards I’ve had previously.

Pro-tip: Always use a camera with dual card slots and use the second slot as a backup, if you're shooting anything of importance or that cannot be lost. Back when I was photographing weddings, this was a must. This way if one card is corrupted, you don't lose anything.
