My watch had the same problem turning over manually from 31st-1st. Moved the hour hand around and it turned over at 12. Winding wheel seems to be lose as theres a rattle when the watch is in a vertical position

Excellent video. Question I have a 96'datejust with a 3135 caliber however if I my date will advance 24hrs on its on or manually but the quickset function is no longer works what may that be? Thanks

Typically, something is out of place under the dial. The advance gear, or the date disc. There could also be dirt or debris holding it out of place or even a bad set gear. In a 3235, there are two set gears (both the same size). If the watch gets dirty, teeth on those gears will sometimes break. You would feel it however when turning the crown.

@Peter Grande when I turn the crown I feel nothing when in the quickset position . Like something isn't catching

Then I would say the advance gear is stuck and not spinning in its channel. It is a movement out repair and the hands, dial and date disc have to be removed. One hour job from most shops. It the watch has not been serviced in at least 5 years, it would also be part of a full service.
