Sea dweller 4000 40mm is perfect ever.

Great comparison video, but I think a big difference that wasn’t mentioned on this is the difference in their dial color. The SD43 has a washed out black/matte’ish dial which is reminiscent of the vintage red line SD compared to the 4000 which is like piano/deep black as seen on subs.

As far as I understand, the bezel is not to track lap time, but to track/control diving time to avoid decompression health problems.

Only problem is, the very important differentiation in the width of the bracelets, was not mentioned. This is one of the key features of why the SD43 bracelet width and overall setup up, is superior to the Deep Sea, and the Deep Sea-Blue.

Does the flaw on the 3 minute mark of the SD43 drive anyone else nuts? How could Rolex miss this? Is that a curled up bit of stainless steel or a wiggly scratch? Sadly, it doesn't surprise me that much. I own the 116610LN and the crown engraved rehaut is not aligned well. For the price they command, I expect better.

I ve got both models the 43 red 126600 and the 40 116600 . as an everyday wearer the 40 is best I ve tried and tried the 43 on my 7.25 wrists and its just too heavy . might get a b rubber strap when they release one for the 43 sd soon. what is the weight difference between the two in grams .no watch forum states the new weght of the 43 I wonder why!

who you never mentioned that bracelet on 50th Un. is 1-2mm wider....specially the clasp .???...Same with the bazel is 2mm wider

Is it me or the Date on the 40mm doesn't centre properly. It seems like it's closer to the upper edge of the date window. I have noticed this on a few Subs. On some the date lines up more towards the left than be on the centre. Is that normal? Can anyone answer? :) PS: English is not my 1st language so pardon my English.

Same diving capabilities as the sd43 but in a very wearable 40mm size, near perfect proportions, and produced for only 3 years, need I say more??

yes good review I ve got both too be absolutely honest the 43 every day not as comfortable as my 40 but the 43 is more badass wrist presence so its down to mood on the day my other watches 218238 116618 lb and a batman

so the 126600 is how the proper Sea Dweller should have been from first place.. or actually how th esubmariner should have been. the 40mm diameter is for womens wrist mostly.. now with the sea dweller men can finally have a classic design on their wrist. anything below 43mm is for kids and women.

The 116600 more discreet and more sort after. My 8 inch wrist can handle both. They are both thick so 3 mil difference in case size makes no difference when you have a large butch wrist!. Love my sd 43 though it get less wrist time as the sd 40 . Want more wrist presence wear a Seiko sbr031

what a bunch of losers worried about the cyclops ...bottom line, does it have a strong ‘coolness’ value as a watch, and does it have exclusivity and high resale? the answers are yes at least for the red writing one... however is super uncomfortable as a daily wear ...i have a large 17”+ wrist in it’s really too big ...and trust me less than .01% of the buyers of this will actually use it (or any diver watch) to actually dive more than a meter or two...bought it yesterday after being ‘on the list’ for a couple weeks and ready to unload it ...BLNR all the way forget these clownish oversized and totally uncomfortable and totally unnecessary pieces (despite the high resale now)....also i. recommend to watch CRM for better reviews instead of all the technical nonsense here
