In this video I review my year 2000 Rolex Submariner 14060 No-Date luxury dive watch. This is my opinion the best classic dive watch you can get. An amazing accurate, beautiful and extremely versatile everyday dive watch.

I've worn my 1998 sub (bought new in San Francisco) diving over 30 times (albeit with a backup dive computer). But this is bullet proof & I wore to 140ft in the blue hole in Belize and walls off Sipadan in Borneo. I would not worry about diving with it.

I have the Rolex 14060m ...it is old school 2 liner, and it is a wonderful tool watch.

I think this is one of the best Submariners of all time. I love the understated and slim design with minimal bezel imprint. Do you think this watch is worth USD 8'900?

I have just purchased this model 14060M 2004 newer style box overhaul & 2 yr guarantee genuine Rolex dealer its away at the moment being overhauled can't wait to see it when it returns.

Nice detailed information why you chose the older model. What bothers me about the newer models is the Rolex engraving on the chapter ring. It looks tacky and kinda confirms the flashy reputation of Rolex in today's society. I want the sub to be the classic simple tool watch and not some peacock status object. Keep the flash for the two-tone and gold ones.

well they were tools when they were half the price rolex is growing yearly as luxury watches and getting every year more expensive that means they need new material and new designs is not peacock status and not flashy, and the engraving is to make it more difficult to copy so is nice to have both the old ones and new ones( if u have the money to collect) otherwise the new ones are perfect, will age good and the old ones will look just like old grandmothers full of wrinkles and rosted calibres

Another great video. Looking for a new Omega Seamaster 300, black dial, 233.30.41.01.001. Any comments off hand come to mind. This time will break my rule and buy from an authorized dealer in the vast LA Chinatown zone, they tend to discount more. Do you consider a 30% discount from auth dealer a decent deal on this watch?

JP Davis Hi JP. Great choice with the black dial Seamaster. I think that version is more versatile than the blue one. Put it on a black leather strap and you almost have a dress-diver. 30 percent off sounds great. Maybe you can negotiate and get one of those amazing Omega NATO straps into the deal. think you have your ref years wrong there....actually the years for the 14060 - (1990-1998) and the years for the 14060M - (1998-2012): My personal 2001 Sub with papers is a ref 14060M.. So if you say yours is a 2001 it will be the M model too, unless it was built in early 98 and not sold and registered till 2001. ps You say "one of the old Omega boxes?? your holding a Rolex box lol

Greatest Desk Diver of All Time? That epithet goes to any Submariner with the 3135 movement - it has to have the date function to be a true desk diver! ;-)

This is the nicest sub there is. The others are way too try-hard. If I were to ever buy a Submariner, this is the first one I would buy. However, I think it's too expensive.

I agree. It’s very down played yet classy. But prices today are gone crazy.
