In Australia, I've seen this model only two or three times on the street. Every time, it was so eyecatching. The first time was in 2005, sitting at an outdoor cafe. Someone breezed by and the sun sparkled blue and gold on the watch, it was stunning. The most recent time was on an older version where the blue dial had turned purple, a common issue with that vintage. I wouldn't buy the current model, though. Way too much money compared with getting a gently used 90s-2000s model.

It's definitely something to see in person. Thanks for watching!

Amazing content guys, we need more of this type of vid. I am actually trying to choose between this watch and it’s newest version. I love both but the new for sure is higher quality. However, most of my Rolexes are new, except my SD which is a tritium dial too. I mainly want the older dial because I highly care about value retention. Also, the Patina, which is less probable in the new release. Or you think the latest model would retain its value too 🤔, I would get around 12% discount on the new one with no tax.

Personally, I don't think you could go wrong with either. If resale is of concern, maybe go with the older one.

One More Time Thanks for the advise, are there several versions of the pre-ceramic with sunburst dial and which one do you suggest ?!
